Isabel has been beautifully refreshed and thoughtfully designed for your next South Haven getaway. With stylish furnishings, hardwood floors, inviting spaces, and carefully chosen details throughout, this charming cottage blends comfort and character in all the right ways. It’s the kind of place families return to year after year.



The outdoor living spaces are a standout feature, created for long summer days and easy evenings together. Gather under the spacious covered gazebo with dining space, string lights, and ceiling fan, grill dinner on the Weber gas grill, or unwind around the fire pit after a day at the beach. A separate deck with Adirondack chairs offers a perfect spot for morning coffee or sunset conversation. There is also a small shed available for storing beach gear and vacation extras.



Need extra hangout space? The separate studio rec room adds even more room to spread out, featuring a movie and gaming setup, table for board games, and cozy seating for relaxing after the day’s adventures.



Located near downtown, the harbor, and just one block from Kids Corner playground, Isabel is also only two blocks from Lake Michigan beach access. Spend your days walking to the beach, exploring the riverfront, visiting the playground, or strolling into downtown South Haven for shops, dining, and ice cream. Once you arrive, you may not need your car again.

The Neighborhood:

Near downtown and the harbor and only one block from kids' corner and two blocks from the beach, the cottage is a fantastic location for short walks to the beach, playground, or strolls along the riverfront, harbor, and to downtown. So, once you have settled in, you will not need the car. Just relax and enjoy!

We're available in-person Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, to assist guests in planning their South Haven vacation and providing insider tips for an authentic local experience.

Family vacation before school starting

Our first time to Michigan. The location is perfect- so close to the beach and walking distance to town. The house is in a beautiful neighborhood. It was clean and just what we needed. We loved it and would definitely come back

Excellent location! Easy walk to town restaurants, morning coffee runs, the beach, and the playground. Quiet neighborhood. The additional game room out back was great for our group! Biggest downside were the stairs going to the 2nd level. Steep and a bit narrow. But, we all managed. The house is very well stocked with items you need. Overall a very nice stay.

Amazing Location!

You really can’t ask for a better location. The house is on a quiet street and is walking distance to both the beach and town. The house was very clean. It’s an older home with BEAUTIFUL features, but has been nicely renovated to make it modern in the best areas (kitchen and bathrooms). It has a great backyard, and the guest house is an interesting addition.

The Isabel house is a mixture of old and new. The house was nicely located just a walk away from the beautiful lake shore. If you stay here, take time to use the fun game room which is free standing (used to be a dance studio, fun). We had a had a great time in South Haven and the Isabel house had a lot to do with that!

Great location!

This house is close to the beach and park. The game room is a separate building which was great for the adults playing games once the kids were in bed! Only complaint is the top bunk is not safe for a child to sleep in as there is no guard rail so were short 1 bed for our group of 8. It really only sleeps 7 not 8. We made it work by utilizing an air mattress that we had brought. There is also only parking for 1 vehicle in the driveway, not 2, however there was plenty of street parking! The amenities were great and we enjoyed our stay!

Overall a good stay! Great location for Kids Korner and the beach. The house is quirky in its layout and set up. The shed has awesome bikes and toys for the yard plus some beach toys. The studio has a bunch of games to play and a couple of extra fridges. Be aware the stairs to the second floor are very steep and small. Not great for mobility issues are little kids. The first floor bathroom is remodeled and very nice but the shower uses all the hot water quickly and most of the group had either a cold or Luke warm shower each night. We also had issues with the grill not heating up even after we bought a new tank and informed management they should check for a leak.

Enjoyed our stay at Isabel

This house in South Haven had the perfect stay for our family…including boys ages 10, 8, and 5. Mere blocks to a great park and one more to the beautiful white sandy beach of Lake Michigan. Within walking distance was a pier and stand with ice cream and hotdogs. The house itself, a two story, had enough beds and baths to comfortably accommodate 4 adults and 3 boys. The best part was the extra shed in the backyard that was turned into a game area…TV, big table, games on the shelves, etc. The fire pit and a gazebo were amazing, too. The house is totally equipped right down to Kleenex in every bathroom. The nautical theme was carried out throughout the home. The downtown had a lot of interesting restaurants and shops for everyone’s tastes. We would highly recommend VRBO, Shores Vacation rentals and this beautiful area for a relaxing vacation.
