Perfect place for our family weekend. Everything we wanted to do was close by. Cozy home with everything we needed. Our host was easy to communicate with. We will definitely stay here again. We loved seeing the deer in the mornings.
We had a great time. The area is beautiful; there was a great view in all directions. Perfect place to stay for a golf trip. The house itself is incredible for a weekend getaway. We wish we would have been able to stay longer!
Close to every area we wanted to hit. Clean and welcoming. Had all amenities we needed. Plan on making it an annual spot for our family. Playpen very helpful and appreciated!
Everything was spot on, just missing soap in the showers. Such a lovely place and the neighborhood deer seemed to be posing fir photos! Made some great memories with the family as well as seen shooting stars and a rainbow all in less than 24 hours!
Clean house conveniently located in La Veta, easy walking around town. The two larger rooms with queen beds are on the main floor. The rest are in an open floor plan upstairs. If traveling with elderly or disabled, the stairs and showers may be a challenge. Easy place for the family to hang out, with cards and other games available. Thanks for a great stay!
Perfect property for everything we needed. Nice, large covered front porch and covered back patio with picnic table and rocking chairs. Deer came through the front yard both evenings. Very clean. Lots of beds.
We spent our time at Cuchara Park and this home was the perfect location for us. The Host goes above and beyond here. I highly recommend this place - I will still hear next time we come through La Veta. The house has everything you need! Perfect for a man like me who loves chopping wood and having fires. The inside had a big kitchen for the wives. The rooms have tons of board games for the kids. You will love this place; I know we did.
The house was just as described, and so inviting, clean, and comfortable. It is spacious, with comfortable furnishings, and in a great location for the Spanish Peaks International Celtic Music Festival which we were attending. We enjoyed our time in La Veta so much and it was made better because we had such a nice place to go home to at the end of the day.
We were given a heads up that the front door could be temperamental, and we found it very difficult to open and close securely, but I know that management is aware and will probably have that repaired.
We hope to return in the future. This is a great place to stay!
My friends and I stayed two nights and golfed at Grandote which was only a few blocks away. It served us well as we each had our own room and shared two bathrooms. The common area around the kitchen worked out well to cook and eat our meals. We also took advantage of the gas grill to barbecue one night. The back patio area provided some privacy that we shared with a few visiting deers. We would definitely stay there in the future. The cost was also reasonable.

The house was perfect for the family, cute and clean. The kids had the upstairs to themselves. Great location, walking distance to downtown. Pictures in the ad show empty space to the side of home, was excited the kids could play ball, run around. The area was fenced off with a poor chain link fence. The smell from the old jeep in the garage was overwhelming when you opened the door to the garage to access the back yard. Had to wash the dishes before use as they were dirty and the kitchen was very unorganized, the grill was VERY dirty, had to empty the grease, which was caked on and three inches deep, was a fire hazard. Should have taken a picture of the dog poop in the front yard. The water smelled horrible, like a musty cellar. The town made our trip, Charlie's Country Store and great fishing!

Thanks for your honest review. I will make note of the dirty grill, Bears wreak havoc on chain link fences. The backyard is big and fully fenced, the side yard does not necessarily come with the rental property. Sorry about the smell of the jeep, it smells like adventure to our family! I will make note to have the dog poop cleared from the front yard. The water is a town issue. Again, thanks for the review.
Being able to spread out was great, even though there were just two of us. Three of the four bedrooms were very large and nicely equipped. WIFI worked well. Was very nice to have the second bathroom. Deer through the yard most days. Good location right in town. Enjoyed sitting on the back patio. La Veta and surrounding areas were much prettier than we anticipated! Two very minor thoughts: The door next to the garage was difficult to maneuver with the lock, plus the screen door added a bit of an element of hassle/danger when trying to stand on the small porch and carry in suitcases while holding the screen door. Might want to consider losing the screen door altogether. Washcloths would be a nice addition to the towel sets. The checkout list was very long and involved turning off propane. We finally figured out you probably meant propane to gas grills rather than the huge propane tank ???
