detached quiet country house with large terrace and great views

The detached house is located near the typical Tuscan village of Montecatini Val di Cecina. You can walk to the village in 10 minutes. There is a bakery and a small supermarket, bars and restaurants. The house is surrounded by a large olive grove and is very quiet. From the large covered terrace you have a wonderful view over the Tuscan hills.
On the ground floor there is a large living and dining area and an open kitchen. On the upper floor there are two bedrooms and the bathroom with toilet. The large bedroom has a double bed. In this room, a ladder leads to an open gallery on which there are two more beds (mattresses). The small bedroom has two single beds and a direct exit to its own small terrace. The Tuscan terracotta floor is everywhere in the house. In summer, the large terrace becomes a daily lounge area.

The beach is 35 minutes away. There are many beautiful sandy beaches that are worth visiting. You can have a siesta in the shade in the adjacent pine forests.
Volterra is the closest major city. This old Etruscan city attracts with its ancient amphitheater, numerous museums, Tuscan architecture, shopping facilities and a magnificent view. Pisa, Lucca, Siena, San Gimignano and Florence are also so close that day trips are possible.

A lovely quiet and rural house

We really enjoyed the house and the garden. Everything was lovely. We saw a lot of animals around the house, we really liked that. The environment is beautiful and so much to see. The sea is only 40 minutes away, where you can eat in very lovely fish restaurants. We visited the restaurants in the village, so nice that you can go there by foot. We like to come back!

Bella Toscana

A beautiful location a few minutes away from the village of Montecatini Val Di Cecina. The view of Tuscany with Volterra in the distance is unique and I will never forget it. The two story house is very comfortable with all household conveniences and tastefully decorated with classic wooden furniture and art. We had a wonderful time, if only we could have stayed longer.

We liked the House and the surroundings and landschape, nearby Volterra. We didn’t like the quality ofthe insectscreens. They were broken and couldn’t properly be used.

Idyllic Tuscan countryside - perfect!

The house is exactly as listed - a beautiful property in a peaceful setting, with the most amazing views over the rolling hills. Anneke was wonderful- giving us suggestions of where we should visit during our stay, and being accommodating with the check in to suit our flight times. The check in/ check out is contact free and so easy- just what we needed after a long travel. The house is at the bottom of a steep hill, so a car or good mobility is a must. Also, the warning about the insect life around the property is to be taken seriously; as can be expected in a hot country in the summer (especially in a rural area) the mosquitos are very present. Nothing some bug spray and after bite can’t cure though! The house is equipped with everything we needed, and is the perfect combination of modern and rustic. All of us had the best time and would highly recommend - thank you so much!

Die Lage hat für uns perfekt gepasst: abgelegen, ruhig super Sicht über die Hügel der Toskana, und dennoch alles notwendige wie Bäcker, kleiner Alimentari und Restaurants in fußläufiger Nähe.Volterra ist gleich nebenan auf der anderen Talseite, zum Meer dauert's ca. eine Stunde. Als Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen ist Montecatini eher weniger geeignet, aber aus kultureller Sicht ist die Lage ein guter, weil zentraler, Ausgangspunkt, um die wichtigsten Orte der Toskana, dem schlechten Zustand der Straßen zum Trotz, einigermaßen schnell zu erreichen.Die Zufahrt vom Ort zum Haus ist streckenweise extrem steil. Wer da ein etwas PS-schwächeres Gefährt hat, kommt da jedes Mal ins Schwitzen, vor allem wenn das Auto voll bepackt ist. Aber auch das hat funktioniert.

Schönes Haus mit tollem Ausblick

Das Ferienhaus liegt wunderschön abgelegen etwas außerhalb von Montecatini Val di Cecina. Die Anfahrt ist gut beschrieben, führt aber über eine etwas holprige aber befestigte Zufahrt – dafür wird man mit absoluter Ruhe und einer traumhaften Aussicht belohnt.Das Haus war sehr sauber, die Küche gut ausgestattet, und im Dorf gibt es alles, was man braucht. Im Mai war es bei uns im Haus noch recht kühl, worauf wir aber im Vorhinein hingewiesen wurden. Ideal für alle, die eine ruhig gelegene Unterkunft und Erholung in der toskanischen Natur suchen!

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit im Haus. Die Betten im Hauptschlafzimmer sind sehr gut und bequem. Endlich große Betten in Italien gefunden! Das Haus ist unterhalb vom Ort gelegen und über eine recht steile Zufahrt gut zu erreichen. Küche und Bad waren mit allem erforderlichen Equipment ausgestattet. Hier kann man es auch länger als 14 Tage (wie wir) aushalten

Tolles Lage, sehr gute Ausstattung

Wir kommen viele Jahre in die Toskana, aber so ein top ausgestattetes Haus hatten wir selten. Man merkt, dass die Eigentümer es selber nutzen, es fehlte an nichts in der Küche. Wir haben sehr die ruhige Lage, den herrlichen Blick von der Terrasse bei gemütlichem Frühstück oder auch Abendessen, genossen. Sehr gut gefallen hat uns auch die Nähe zum Dorf, 10 Minuten zu Fuß. Schöne Lokale und das Café Central für einen Espresso zwischendurch. Viele schöne Orte der Toskana, und auch das Meer, sind sehr gut zu erreichen. Das letzte Stück der recht steilen Zufahrt ist eine kleine Herausforderung (wie auch schon von anderen Besuchern erwähnt) fürs Auto, da loser Untergrund. Fazit: wir kommen wieder 🤗

Toller Aufenthalt

Man merkt, dass das Ferienhaus von den Eigentümern selbst genutzt wird. So ist die Küchenausstattung für ein Ferienhaus außergewöhnlich, was uns sehr wichtig ist, da wir gerne selbst kochen. Und als es mal ein kleines Problem gab, stand die Eigentümerin sofort selbst zur Verfügung (telefonisch) und es war alles gelöst. Die Lage mit ein paar Minuten zu Fuß in den schönen Ort ist top sowie auch der Blick über die toskanischen Hügel.

Ein toller Ort zum Abschalten

Wir waren 9 Nächte in diesem tollen Haus, es war sehr sauber als wir ankamen und die Schlüsselübergabe lief reibungslos. Die Wegbeschreibung war super, obwohl das Haus etwas abgeschieden ist, haben wir es gleich auf anhieb gefunden. Ein tiefergelegtes Auto sollte man jedoch nicht haben. Es hat alles da was man braucht, vom Spülmaschinentab bis zur Auflaufform. Es fehlt wirklich nichts. Die Küche ist super ausgestattet und die Elektrogeräte funktionieren alle einwandfrei. Für den Außenbereich gibt es bequeme Liegen und einen Sonnenschirm zusätzlich zur schönen Terrasse mit herrlicher Aussicht. Bei sehr heißen Sommernächten sorgt ein Ventilator für abkühlung. Das Haus liegt sehr Idyllisch und ist mit dem Pkw zu erreichen. Im Ort gibt es einen Bäcker mit kleinem Supermarkt und zwei Restaurants. Reservieren ist hier ein muss. Es lohnt sich aufjedenfall. Das Meer und die Städte Volterra, San Gimignano, und Siena sind alle gut mit dem Auto erreichbar. Das Heimatdörfchen hat auch einiges zu Bieten. Zudem gibt es dort eine Quelle, an welcher man kostenlos kaltes Quellwasser holen kann. Absolut zu empfehlen. Wir waren dort mit dem Elektroauto, und konnten problemlos in Volterra, den größeren Städten und am Meer laden. Meistens mit kostenlosem Parken während dem laden. Bei den örtlichen Coop oder Conad-Filialen gibt es immer Ladesäulen. Im Ort steht bereits eine Ladesäule, welche leider noch nicht in Betrieb genommen wurde. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

Perfekt für den der Ruhe, Natur und Entspannung sucht. Mediterranes Flair inklusiv. Für die letzten 100m sollte man keinen tiefergelegten Sportwagen haben. Es hat uns sehr gefallen und wir kommen gerne wieder.

Toller Blick und tolles Haus

Ein sehr schönes und geräumiges Haus in einer tollen Lage mit weitem Blick ins Tal. Das hübsche Dorf ist zu Fuss in 5 Minuten zu erreichen und bietet selbst im September noch alles was man benötigt: kleiner Laden, Bäcker, Restaurant und eine Bar für den täglichen Espresso. Die Anfahrt zum Haus ist zwar etwas eng aber kein Problem. Wir haben die Woche dort sehr genossen!

Schöne Wohnung mit fantastischem Ausblick

Die Wohnung ist toll gelegen, mit super Ausblick, viel Ruhe und trotzdem nur wenige Minuten zu Fuß vom Ort entfernt, wo man alles notwendige an Lebensmitteln, Restaurants und co. finden kann. Kommunikation, Checkin und Ausstattung der Wohnung waren sehr gut. Einzig das WLAN funktionierte teilweise nur unzuverlässig

Stunning property in a perfect location.

We enjoyed a fantastic week in this gorgeous house. The views from the terrace are amazing and the outdoor dining table, comfortable armchairs and sunloungers meant we never actually used the living room. We loved sitting on the terrace in the evening listening to the wild boar passing within metres of us. The house is incredibly well equipped and everything is excellent quality. The local village is a 10 minute walk away where there are two lovely restaurants and a bar. Everyone in the local area was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a private wine tasting at Fattoria Sorbaiano which was a pleasant 40 minute stroll from the house. We would definitely recommend this accommodation.

Super - immer wieder gern!

Wir haben uns im Haus sehr wohl gefühlt. Alles - und mehr - was wir brauchten war da. Vor allem die grosse Küche und die tolle Terasse haben uns sehr gut gefallen. Der Blick ins weite Land entspricht den Toskana Klischees - einfach super. Zu betonen ist der einige Minuten entfernte Ort mit zwei Restaurants und einer Bar am Hauptplatz und viel Leben. Wir können das Haus nur empfhelen und kommen gerne wieder.
