The house is in a great location. We had a family reunion and it was the perfect size. The only issue we had was controlling the temperature. There is one thermostat for 3 floors. The bottom floor would be freezing cold. Middle floor comfortable and top game room floor sweltering hot. We were there in june

The house wonderfully fit our needs. We were a family of 12 (grandparents, kids and grandkids) and we enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and was well represented in the listing. It’s perfectly located between Durango (about 10 minutes) and Purgatory Ski Resort (about 20 minutes). Kyle was a great host - was super helpful and responded quickly the few times we had questions.

We had a great family reunion. Nothing wrong with the property. Good location, easy drive in town and easy drive to scenic areas like Molas Pass. A good base for a Mesa Verde trip. Reasonably priced too for 3-4 families.A few tipsIt’s hard to see the driveway or down the road coming out of the driveway. A spotter might help. It’s a bear area. We had one show up interested in the empty grill in the back. Not a big deal but be aware!There was a handy checkout checklist and useful introductory binder.When we stayed, the air hockey table was off its legs / broken, so the kids didn’t get to use it. Might be worth asking about at a future visit.We liked the dining area and view. You can see the mountains and smoke from the train going by. I recommend Rice Monkey, the Cream Beanery mixed berry ice cream, and the Himalayan restaurant in town. You’ll have a good time staying here.

Having lived in Durango in the 90’s, I knew that I’d like to stay just north of town as we wanted to spend some time in Durango and also at Purgatory. This was the perfect location! House worked out great for the seven of us. Large family area, comfortable bedrooms, and cool patios all along the outside. Kyle made sure that we were enjoying ourselves. Highly recommend!

Perfect home for our large family

The host was wonderful to communicate with and helpful all around. The accommodations were perfect for our large family. So many rooms and bathrooms to go around. Great distance from the heart of Durango and hot springs. A trip our family will not forget and plan to repeat.
