My husband and I stayed with my mom, our three children (26,13,2) our nephew (9) and our dog. The house was the perfect size for all of us, we never felt cramped. It was very clean, the beds were so comfortable, kitchen had everything you needed to cook, back yard area was shaded and had a really nice ambiance. It’s so close to the historic downtown area and it’s very quiet at night time. We did not have hardly any traffic on our road, which was nice because of all of the kids. It was exactly what we wanted for our trip to Galveston.
We stayed at Ave Belle Inn over the weekend and we had a great time. The house was perfect for our family and withing walking distance or VERY short driving distance to everything we wanted to do. The owners, Marshall & Christa, we very accommodating and friendly. When we arrived, the house was very clean and all of the instructions were very clear. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks again for a great stay.Joseph P.
Our stay at the Ava Belle was nothing short of delightful. The house is steps away from all the activities of Galveston's downtown, restaurants and beaches. We had an extended stay of two months and were sad to leave. Our hosts were very responsive and helpful. The property is bright, cheerful and very comfortable. Highly recommend!
Very nice property in a very convenient location. It is a nice Victorian house that has been renovated. We had a great weekend visiting family. Well apportioned house with all the modern amenities. We highly recommend this place and will return.
This house has every appliance and toiletries one could need for a family beach trip.
Beds are super comfortable. Short walk to historic downtown Galveston and piers and situated in the middle of many historic society homes. Well lit and safe. House interior is modern beach and comfortable. Great rental!
This beautiful historic home was ideal for a Mardi Gras weekend! We had seven adults, so the bedrooms were the perfect configuration. We walked to the beach in the mornings and walked to the strand in the evenings. Could not get a better location! Communication was excellent, house was clean and comfortable, and beds were amazing! Highly recommended (except for Mardi Gras... that's for my family!! LOL)

Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
Very Dirty House/ I had to rate cleanliness 1 star to process this review . It’s really a zero.
Front porch tables/chairs were dirty. All 3 upstairs bedrooms had mold on vent and ceiling. Used bar of soap left in shower. Used bottle of mouth wash left out. Towels were old and had hair in them. Left over dog hair and dust throughout the house. Bug dropping in kitchen drawer. Workman left screws and dirt on bedroom floor and bed linen .we left 2 days early . Breathing in mold was not my idea of a weekend getaway . Very Disappointed.
I sat on the porch every night and enjoyed the quiet breeze. I met and visited with the neighbors. Inside was so comfortable! Kitchen had everything we needed. 8 minute walk to church for Palm Sunday. Close to everything we wanted. Will stay again!
