Great place for snowmobile group. Large area for clothes and gear in the commons. Lots don't think this is a big deal but its very nice to take gear on and off.
Best hosts ever!! Nick and Maria were the kindest most welcoming hosts we’ve ever had. The place was spacious and clean. It’s also very insulated and noise was not a problem. The master bedroom bed was so comfy!! The kitchen had so much room and were able to cook meals and enjoy them as a family. We enjoyed the location as well. And being above Luckys bar was a perk for us, as we enjoyed our days out but was able to come “home” and have our nightcaps downstairs and enjoy the evening. We will definitely be back in the future!

We loved seeing you guys again! So glad you were able to experience both cabins during your snowmobiling time. Hoping to see you and Holly again next year!
Charlie our host was amazing!! With the coldest temperatures we’ve seen in years, he helped get vehicles started, letting us borrow his battery chargers and extension cords. Always there with fresh towels as requested. Having the little bar right below our place was a fun bonus. A true Sconnie experience!! We will be back!
Loved the stay at the property! The cabin was roomy and had plenty of space for my husband and our dog (black lab). The lake access was great for our dog to go swimming and it felt very welcoming with the caretaker onsite and the other guest cabins. The game room with it's 1970s vibes was such a fun bonus! Looking forward to staying again next year!
The cabin was very clean, the hosts were great with communication and everything was as expected. Yes, it's a little dated but the square footage and layout was great.
Roomy older cabin. Very clean, beautiful views. Has everything you need. Very warm cabin in cooler temperatures. Would rent again. Only issue was with guest toilet with flushing...property manager said you have to push in and down. Beautiful fall colors, deers, bald eagle and loons.

This is our second trip to this property. The property is comfortable and roomy with a great view of the lake. Easy access for ice fishing. The property manager and on site caretaker have been very helpful and kind. The kids enjoy the game room.

I rented this property for a long weekend of ice fishing and it worked out perfectly. The lake access is excellent. The residence was clean and spacious. It was very fun to be able to bring the dog as well. The owner and the local caretaker were both very communicative and helpful. I would definitely book again.
The view from the home was unobstructed lake. Lovely! We were right by the dock where we had an even better view of the lake. The apartment was spacious. The owners are friendly and on property. We enjoyed our time there.

VRBO site pictures did not tell the real story of facility.Views from cabin ware great but windows were completely fogged, bathroom toilet had to be flushed by removing lid and we had rodents. Many other improvements are needed.

Thank you for your honest review. It is an older cabin that we are constantly working on improvements and upgrades to enhance our guest’s experience. The toilet issue is fixed and this is the first we were aware of rodents. We will definitely investigate that and mitigate any potential issues.

Overall it was a great place! The communication was good and they had everything we needed! The only thing I was unaware of was that we only had access to the 2 level of the building! This was not an issue for us just didn’t find out until the day of in the check in instructions! Great location and cute little town! Would recommend!

Thanks for staying with us, Kathleen. The cabin has been well loved by many families over time, that is true. We have made a number of improvements (including removing carpet in the kitchen!) and continue to make updates so that is a a comfortable place for guests to stay on the lake. We hope you enjoyed your time in the Northwoods!
GPS directed us to the property. Convenient parking. Cabin is old, as described. Everything clean and in working condition. Way more space than we needed. We had the windows open for lake breezes during the day and kicked on the heat to take the chill out of the cabin in the morning. Kitchen was stocked for preparing meals. Groundskeepers are friendly and attentive. Waking to loon calls beats city noises! We will check here for availability in the future.

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and the sounds of the loons! There is truly nothing like it. Thank you for staying with us!
I was fine with the cabin,
My partners were disappointed with the two window A/C units
The remote for the TVs power button must be worn out.
I just showed my non tech buddies how to walk to the TV and manually push the power button! Tom and Lisa were very helpful, and BO was a hoot!
Beautiful area. Needs some updates but owners are working on them. Need to add more details to their listing, as it is not as we expected. Lisa and Tom(caretakers) are very accessible when you need them and their dog Beau greeted us daily ❤️. The house was very clean and had what we needed. Only issue was we had to find accommodations for others in our group last minute, owners tried to assist with this. The house was actually plenty big to accommodate us all. The owners were very good about everything we spoke to them about (some issues they had no idea about, as no one ever told them) and like I said they are updating. We would stay again

Nice getaway cabin. Was here with my son and grandson for eight days. Beautiful setting on Long Lake. Cabin was pretty much as advertised. It was clean and neat and spacious. One of our parameters for a vacation rental is always A/C and although this cabin was advertised as having A/C the window units have been removed and boarded up. This turned out not to be an issue as the weather stayed cold for the entire trip. We were quite comfortable. The only other issue I have is with the thermopane window in the living room. The view of the lake is spectacular but because the window is old and fogged up on the insides of the glass it’s hard to see out at times. Not a deal breaker by any means, just a bit disappointing. The caretakers, Tom and Linda, were great and the camp dog Beau was a hoot. The grounds were immaculate and all in all we enjoyed our stay very much.

The space was great, smelled very musty, refrigerator didn't work but they supplied coolers and didn't feel it was that clean throughout. Beautiful location by the lake, plenty of room for everyone. We had a party of 5.
We are just a few Midwesterners who fell in love with the Northwoods and this spot in Mercer on Long Lake in particular. We love being active outdoors all year long and wanted to share our experience with others! A bad day on the lake is still better than a good day in the office!
Why they chose this property
It's easy to get to ATV and snowmobile trails, local biking and hiking, and the quiet lake is ideal for kayaks and paddleboards. The lake almost feels like a private lake with very little boat traffic. Chances are, you'll see more loons and eagles in a day than boats! We love the view and proximity to the water, and love all of the activities on site and nearby.
This three bedroom cabin has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Plenty of parking for cars and trailers. And you can't beat the proximity and view of the lake! Your cabin includes a rec room, patio area near the entrance with a picnic table and charcoal grill, as well as another picnic table on the patio area outside the lower level. Fire pits, docks, firewood and kayaks are all available for all guests during your stay.
This particular resort is known to locals as "Lucky's," referencing the once-functioning bar that occupied the lower level of this unit. (Today, it stays locked and is only as-needed owner access)
This is one of several cabins on the Sconnie Seasons resort.
What makes this property unique
You'll love being able to ride your ATV or snowmobile right from the cabin to the trails in minutes. With ample parking for everyone and their machines!
There are a lot of beautiful areas and wonderful lake views in Wisconsin. But there is something truly special about the bay where this cabin sits, including the unmistakable sounds of loons and deer sightings galore.
Your hosts also have family cabins on the resort and may or may not be staying on the property during your stay. Our resort caretakers, Lisa and Tom, do live there year-round and are happy to greet guests and help with anything they can during your stay.
If you have a larger party, we do have two units available for rent on the same resort - perfect for large group getaways!
