Steps from Cedar Beach ! Tranquil Retreat in the Heart of Wine Country

Steps from Peconic Bay and Cedar beach.

Stay in our Southold home in the heart of North Fork and enjoy the best the North Fork has to offer! The location is ideal with Cedar beach/Peconic Bay just a block away and all the beach essentials, kayaks included, with your stay.

Our 3 bedroom, 1.5 bathroom home is surrounded by award winning vineyards & farm stands. Southold town center is an 8min ride where you'll find restaurants, local shops, and a grocery store. For more restaurants, shopping or the ferry to Shelter Island/ South Fork, Greenport village is just a 12min drive away.

We have 2 single kayaks (with wheels) for use. You can launch directly into the Peconic Bay off of Cedar Beach, (short walk from the house). There are also beach chairs, beach towels, and a folding wagon to carry equipment to the beach.

Sleeps 6 people comfortably. 2 bedrooms with 1 queen bed in each and a 3rd bedroom with two twin beds. If you have 7 people, there is also a pull out queen sofa for use with sheets and pillows in the living room. If you have a little one, we have a crib with sheets and a highchair available for use as well. Additionally there is one full bath, one half bath and a enclosed outdoor shower. There are window A/Cs in the dining room, master bedroom, and guest room. The children's room has a ceiling fan and a floor fan.

House is fully equipped. Includes washer/dryer, fully stocked kitchen, sheets, towels, shampoo, soap etc. It has Wi-Fi and even a desk with a high definition monitor if you need a place to work. There is also YouTube TV (40+) channels. As mentioned, beach equipment is included (towels, beach umbrella, chairs, etc). There is also a record player and selection of records for your use.

There is a bright & beautiful dining area with a door that leads to an outdoor patio. The patio has a full sized table and 6 chairs in case you prefer to eat in the fresh air. There are folding chairs for extra guests. There is a grill & fire pit for use as well.

Take a glass of wine out to the back yard or a cup of coffee down to the water to overlook the sound. Use the grill to cook up fresh fish from Southold Fish Market or just sit by the fire-pit to chat with friends & family. We also have a handful of yard games for your enjoyment!

Great stay - exactly as expected

This was a nice, clean home, no frills but close to the beach (such an amazing location) and close to all the wineries, restaurants and farm stands of the North Fork. Had a super enjoyable stay!

Lovely, functional house in a fantastic location

Easy check in/checkout, walk to beach, clean, quiet, sunny house in a beautiful area, with all the kitchen and beach supplies you and your family need. We didn’t want to leave, we hope to return!

Family Getaway

The property was as promised: clean, close to the beach, lovely and peaceful. Rebecca was extremely responsive and helpful with suggestions for our stay. She contacted us a couple of days before to let us know the house was available early and we were able to take advantage and have a full day to start our trip. Great host and great property for a long weekend with family.

Wish we didn't have to go home so soon

Rebecca's Southold beach house was perfect for our family vacation. She's thought of all the little things to make your trip more comfortable - super comfy beds, stocked kitchen and beach supply closet, and the kayaks were such a hit! The neighborhood is adorable, just a block to the beach. And we visited so many quaint downtown areas, farmstands and vineyards in closeby.

Great location in Southold. House had a pretty well stocked kitchen. Beds and furniture were new. Beach toys, wagon and chairs were available. Owner was easy to reach over email.

Exceptional hosts! Other VRBO hosts take note!

Our experience as guests was excellent - some of the best Hosts we've had and they truly enjoy providing a memorable experience for their guests. They were the type of hosts that I think we all wish were more common on VRBO and other short term rentals and we were grateful for having hosts that were as attentive and in-tune with the guest experience as they were. They stayed in touch throughout our stay to actively let us know about local events happening in the area, suggested places to visit, let us know about amenities throughout the house to make our stay enjoyable (kayaks, beach chairs, fire wood, etc...) and preemptively kept us in the loop with info that every guest wonders about during a stay, such as early check-in and later checkout. The location was great for our group of 6, we were staying in the area to visit the wineries and Greenport and had a wonderful stay. The house has everything we needed+ more. Highly recommend!

Wonderful home in Southold!

This adorable home is a 3 minute walk to beautiful Cedar beach. The home has a fully stocked kitchen, everything you could possibly need for the beach including 2 kayaks, nice backyard with an outdoor shower, grill and fire pit. Rebecca is an incredibly responsive host and made sure we had everything we needed!
