Very nice property in a quiet neighborhood. Close access to light rail if you are looking to go into downtown Seattle but not wanting to stay there. Emily, the host, was very responsive to any questions/concerns. I would recommend this property to anyone looking to visit the Seattle area.
Great home & location. Clean & well stocked with everyday items.
Thoroughly enjoyed!

This is a beautiful home with fabulous views from primary and a guest bedroom. Home was clean and spacious. Well suited for a large group. One thing to note is that 3 bedrooms share 1 bathroom, and there is no air condition. Otherwise, great home in a great neighborhood with beautiful views.
Stunning views, beautiful home, great location and 5 star host!
Our family came for a wedding and a long weekend in the Seattle area and this VRBO had everything we needed and more! We traveled with our daughter, son-in-law, and their 4 month old baby so we needed a home with enough space to accommodate erratic sleep schedules and a place that provided the comfort of home. This house exceeded expectations!! It was clean, well appointed, very comfortable and plenty of space for all. As an added bonus, the views of the lake from the main living area and main bedroom were absolutely spectacular! Our host sent us very detailed arrival instructions and was quick to respond to any question. We would absolutely recommend this VRBO to anyone and look forward to our next visit! 5 stars all around!!
We had the perfect winter stay with our family at this beautiful house, with a stunning view of Lake Washington! Waking up to mountain ranges and Lake Washington definitely did not get old at all over the week of our stay. The place was spotless, organized, well-stocked with bed and bath amenities. Beds, pillows were very comfortable like one would find in a nice hotel. The jacuzzi in the big bedroom was great for relaxing. Despite being a large house, the heating was great and easy to work via the Nest thermostat. The kitchen was huge and had all the cookware, dinnerware, utensils (even chopsticks!), and more. Big fridge/freezer, dishwasher, huge TV with comfy seating. We even used the foosball table to kill time, very fun!The location was in a quiet and safe neighborhood – plenty of people would walk their dogs throughout the day in the neighborhood. There is easy access via to anywhere, including downtown, via the I-5 freeway. The host was kind and professional; easy to work with and responded quickly to any of our messages or requests. We can’t wait to come back and stay at this home again soon!
Family of 7 stayed - my husband and I, our daughters (13 & 8), my parents and his mother.
Emily was a very responsive and helpful host! She answered every message very timely. I inquired about a grocery service, and though none were available, Emily was kind enough to grab a few essentials and leave them in the home prior to our late night arrival from South Florida.
The house is very clean and accommodated all guests very comfortably. Views were incredible and the bright light that engulfs the house is amazing. We came at a very warm time, but the house has adequate fans for each room that kept us all happy!
Only recommendation we have is to provide shower heads that match the luxury of the rest of the home and water pressure of the sinks!
We loved the property and would stay again!

Overall, great location and view, but a few minor issues
The home was spacious enough for 2 families, my family of 4 and our good friends family of 5. Location was great, close to all the major places we wanted to visit. Rooftop has an amazing view overlooking Lake Washington. The MIL suite was a nice addition. The foosball table was a nice addition.
A few minor issues- provided us with the wrong code to get into the house. As soon as we walked in there was a strong smell of moth balls which persisted the entire stay. We went to bake a pizza and in the bottom oven was left with dirty baking trays with a very strong fish smell. The fridge also had a strong fish smell. We wiped it down and bought baking soda, which seemed to help.
We did reach out to the house manager, who claimed that she was at the property and denied any fish or moth ball smell. Not sure how that’s possible as all of picked up in the smell as soon as we walked in. She did send cleaning crew to clean oven, but didn’t know what moth balls smelled like and just recommended using the one glade plug in to mask the smell, which didn’t help much.
I would not recommend doing any laundry in the main house. As your clothes also left the smell of moth balls. Overall, a nice home- if you don’t mind the smell of moth balls

Hi Jason,
I want to start off by apologizing that your stay was anything but 5 stars; our guests satisfaction is of upmost importance to us! We are still a bit confused on what exactly you were smelling during your stay. We had guests right before you, and guests right after you...both of which have shared their 5-star reviews and experiences on our listing, with no mention of a "moth ball smell" or anything of the sort. This home is managed to a high-standard and we make every effort to ensure the property is clean and appropriately 'guest ready'. As I shared with you, we personally do inspections before and after each guest stay (aside from our cleaners who also perform services and an inspection) so any unusual smells or situations would typically be noticed and addressed ASAP. In this case, it appears no-one else picked up on the smells you have mentioned. I apologize this was your experience and that we were unable to remedy it to your satisfaction.
Thank you for choosing our Lake Washington view home and we hope that you had a memorable trip to/in Seattle!

Summer Rental w/ No Air Conditioning and Mothball Odor
A beautiful house with a gorgeous view... BUT it was nearly uninhabitable. Let me explain why.
We stayed in early August it was 83 degrees on arrival both inside and outside the home. We went to the thermostat trying to get the AC on. A few text to the property mgr were met with "what property is this?" After sending a video about the thermostat being locked we finally learned hours later that there was no AC!
Many/most of the windows did not have screens. There was a door wall with a screen but none of us wanted to leave it wide open while we slept on the floor above. The windows and door wall also could not be left open in the day while we were away so we returned each evening to a hot home. Because of the lack of screens we could not get any cross ventilation. There were fans that just pushed the hot air around. There was also a very strong odor of mothball throughout the house. Our 3 day weekend was smelly and hot.
The MIL apartment also had no AC w/ 1 bedroom window that opened, but it required raising a solid shade (no louvers) to open leaving you in full view to the neighbors above while you were in bed, and the window was ground level and could easily be easily breached - leaving you in a hot, mothball smelling room.
The smells got worse. Because we were traveling with a person with difficulty walking, we went to the basement/garage thinking it would be an easier walk up the stairs (shorter stairs) but the smell was horrid. I cannot recommend this home.

Hi Laura,
Thank you for choosing our Lake Washington home, although I am bummed to see this negative review. We work VERY HARD to ensure our guests have the BEST experience while visiting Seattle and it’s unfortunate that it sounds like that wasn’t the case for you and your group.
As far as the air conditioning, you booked the home knowing it did not have air conditioning. With no air conditioning, it’s very normal to expect the home to be the same or similar temperature as the outdoors. You came during our summer months, so temperatures are going to be the warmest then (it was *83 degrees during your stay, as you mentioned). We did/do provide fans in all bedrooms (plus a few extras).
Our architecturally detailed home consists of A LOT of windows! And yes, not all of those open, purposefully and by design. But for all the windows and doors that do (at least 2 dozen; all bedrooms, common areas, restrooms and the kitchen/dining area all have large opening windows and 3 different sets of sliding glass doors); they all have screens and appropriate window coverings.
You complained about the amount of stairs (for your guest with difficulty walking) but again, the amount of stairs we have in our 3 level home are conveyed in the listing description, in the listing photos and within the booking process (house rules). I am not sure how you could have missed or ignored that; but I know it isn’t fair you blame us for that since you never did even mention it until after your stay. I ultimately feel bad for the person you brought with difficulty walking and that you did not do your due diligence in ensuring the home you rented was adequate for their limited abilities. I highly recognize that 3 levels of home/stairs isn’t reasonable in this situation and likely provided much difficulty for that guest.
Lastly, the “moth ball smell” is quite the fabrication! Clearly, you saw a/the review from a few months back and ran with it. Turns out, we did discover the source of that smell following those guests checking out and it was remedied immediately (this was back in June). Since that booking, and since yours, we’ve had several rentals in-between…and all of them have shared with us and left nothing but 5 star reviews, further indicating it was an isolated incident from 2 months ago. It’s unfortunate you chose to turn to blatant dishonesty to attempt to slander us in unnecessary ways because of your lack of due diligence in booking an appropriate rental to accommodate all your groups needs and requests.
Having been in this business for many years and hosting thousands of guests amongst a half-dozen of our properties, along with maintaining a Premiere Host status here on VRBO and a Super Host status on ‘the other big rental platform’ for 5+ years (meaning we take hosting guests VERY seriously); we have no other choice than to chalk this up as a “guest that we can’t satisfy no matter how hard we try/work”. Your demeanor and erroneous review actually say more about YOU and who you are (or lack there-of); rather than really having anything to do with us or our home/rental. It takes a certain type of person to create a false narrative after the fact, and to publicly share it with negative intentions.
We wish you the best of luck and if anything, hopefully this can be a lesson for you to take your guests and their needs and wishes into consideration when booking a home for future travels!
We enjoyed our time here. The house was really big for our group of 6 and the kitchen was well-equipped so that we could enjoy meals together daily. Getting an Uber was super easy and the neighborhood was very quiet. The views of the lake were gorgeous and we loved watching the sea planes take off and land. So cool!
