Set within the Aska Adventure Area and surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of the Chattahoochee National Forest offering more than a mountain getaway. It is a rare piece of BR history. Established in the 1960s, the property was once part of a children’s summer camp where generations spent their days fishing, swimming, floating the river, and exploring the mountains. When the camp eventually closed, the original owner began dividing and selling a limited number of homesites along the river. After only a few lots were sold, the Federal Govt approached the owner to purchase the remaining acreage for the Tennessee Valley Authority. As a result, the cabin became permanently nestled within hundreds of protected acres surrounding Lake BR & the Toccoa River, creating one of the most private and scenic settings in North Georgia. Completely renovated and thoughtfully updated, the cabin still preserves many of its original details, blending timeless charm with modern comfort. Here, life slows down and families reconnect much like they did generations ago. Days are spent fishing from the riverbank, swimming in the cool mountain waters, floating down the Toccoa, gathering around the firepit, and creating uninterrupted family memories. For outdoor enthusiasts, miles of hiking trails weave through the mountains nearby, while tubing and rafting excursions on the Toccoa River are easily accessible from the property. Guests can also enjoy ziplining adventures, scenic drives and explore the surrounding wilderness. When it’s time to venture into town, the vibrant mountain community of BR is minutes away, offering charming boutiques, local art galleries, exceptional restaurants, craft breweries, and wineries where afternoons can be spent tasting local wines, sampling craft beer, and relaxing picnic-style on beautiful grounds. Whether seeking adventure, relaxation or reconnecting with nature, our home offers an unforgettable experience rich with history, beauty, and adventure.
