Perfectly located in the heart of Kailua-Kona, this one-bedroom condo is affectionately named Casa Tropical Kona and is walkable to Niumalu and Kamakahonu Beaches and a variety of eateries. Enjoy a refreshing beverage on your lanai. Swing in the living room hammock. Cool yourself in the sparkling pool or soak in the hot tub. You'll love the relaxed Hawaiian styling throughout. An AC unit ensures a comfortable stay.

The welcoming living area features a sofa bed, a smart TV, and a hammock. Prepare tasty meals in the kitchen, outfitted with a full suite of appliances. The dining table offers seating for four, and the kitchen bar also seats four. This home sleeps four guests between the bedroom and a queen sofa bed in the living area. The bedroom is furnished with a California king bed and a smart TV. The bathroom has a walk-in shower.

The covered lanai provides a patio table with seating and partial ocean views. Kailua Bay Resort amenities include a pool (unheated) and hot tub, both open year-round, plus loungers and community grills. The home includes free WiFi, a private washer/dryer, and a window air-conditioning unit in the living area and bedroom. Assigned parking is available for one vehicle in the carport. Additional guest parking may be available in visitor parking spaces on a first-come, first-serve basis. Street parking is not permitted.

We loved this place, it had all the amenities, good washer-dryer, beach items, cooking stuff (eg olive oil, salt, spices...). The kids really appreciated the hammock. Walking distance to Kona shops, restaurants etc.

We had a great stay here. The condo had everything we needed to be comfortable and then some. We loved having breakfast on the lanai in the morning with the sun peaking over the mountain. The small details, like the beach chairs and the hammock, were a nice touch that really sets it apart. We found it to be very convenient to everything in town, from the grocery stores and restaurants to the waterfront shops. It was a great place to settle in and then head out to enjoy the island.

Perfectly Acceptable

The rental is less than a 10-minute walk from Ali'i Village and a short drive to all grocery stores. The beds were comfortable, and we found all the linens clean. The window A/C units worked well to keep the apartment cool. The kitchen is very minimally stocked, and the non-stick pans are in bad shape. The pans flaked off the non-stick coating into our food. Otherwise, we had no issues with our stay.

Great base for exploring

The appartment is bright, spacious and has everything we needed to explore the big island. The bathroom is bigger than we expected, same goes for the kitchen and the living room. The bedroom was nicely decorated. There was a lovely small welcome gifts when we arrived. You are in the center of Kona, while also having no noise from traffic or the city on the balcony. You can even see the ocean. Only thing to mention: The AC us a little bit old (not that strong) and loud. But we would definitely go there again.

Location! Location! Location!

Less than half mile from downtown shops, restaurants, and King Kam beach! Amazing convenience. Very clean, colorful, and spacious. AC units and fans worked GREAT to keep the whole place nice and cool. Can’t wait to come back! Suggestions: add a small wastebasket in the bedroom and a few hooks in bathroom and bedroom to hang towels/swimsuits.

Perfect Condo In Kailua-Kona

The apartment was super clean and comfortable. We could see that it was recently renovated. Perfect location, walking distance to bars and restaurants and very convenient if you want to explore the island by car. We will definitely come back.

Beautiful place in a convenient location

The property was just as pictured. Nice lanai, well set up kitchen (except we couldn't find a rice cooker), comfortable bed and sofabed mattress. Nice swimming pool. Great location for walking to get a bite to eat, grocery shop and down to the water. We did have a car so the parking was needed. A/C and living room fan worked nicely. The unit is set up to have a nice cross breeze in the evening. TV is streaming ready. Good sized washer and dryer in the unit with laundry soap too. There were also beach towels, a goza (straw) beach mat and two beach chairs. We would definitely stay here again!
