About this property

Charming Historic House in Downtown Mystic

Wonderful 1770 built cape with views of the Mystic River. Five minutes walk to Historic Mystic Seaport, five minutes walk to the numerous restaurants, bars and shops on Main Street. Five minutes drive to Mystic Aquarium and Olde Mystick Village. Just ten minutes drive to the nearest beaches and twenty to Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun casinos. There will be accommodation for 8; two in ground floor king master, 2 in upstairs queen bedroom, 3 in upstairs bedroom with full-sized bed and twin, and also a very comfortable pull out sofa in the open-plan living area. Please note, the stairs to the upstairs bedrooms are quite steep and that both bathrooms are on the first floor. Please notify owner of intent to bring a pet-there will be an automatic $500 charge taken from the deposit for unapproved pets.

We stayed in Mystic for 7 nights in August and loved the house! Very clean and modern, with everything we needed. The location was perfect, as were able to walk to downtown Mystic, the Seaport and Old Mistick Village. Our golden retriever also loved the nice setup in the back yard! The hosts were very responsive and left a great deal of helpful info, including good restaurant recommendations.

Property was perfect for our group of 2 couples in Mystic for 5 nights. Property is as advertised except for the 2nd bathroom. Two bedrooms upstairs must come downstairs to use the bathroom and shower. Beds are comfy, kitchen well stocked, nice outdoor space, great location to walk to great restaurants, bars and entertainment. Very quaint, well taken care of little cottage. Would stay again when in the area.

We so enjoyed staying at this charming house! The location couldn't be more perfect for walking distance to downtown Mystic. The house has all the amenities, comfortable beds, and a beautiful kitchen and living room to spend time in. The hosts are incredible and super responsive as well. Quaint house and lovely decor. Stocked kitchen with plenty of supplies and towels for the bath. Parking is as described. Upstairs bedrooms are what you would expect in a 1770’s house and beds are comfortable. Clean and enjoyable place to stay. Walkable to historic downtown Mystic with drawbridge, benches for watching the river, and plenty of shops and ice cream places.

John Denison House was once a corn shed on the Denison Farm, Mystic's earliest settlement. Later moved down the hill to its current location, John Denison House has been restored and renovated to allow 21st century amenities and comfort whilst still retaining its historic charm. Stay in a bit of history!
