Thank you Eric. We are so happy to have caring, appreciative guests in our home and hope you will be able to return.
The home was perfect and in a wonderful location. Only a few miles from downtown mystic. You could go into town and do some exploring of the restaurants, shops and bars which is definitely well worth it or you could hang out, enjoy the awesome views and go for quiet walks. I have used a lot of VRBO's and Air B & B's in the past and this is definitely one of my favorites

I am glad you enjoyed your stay and hope you can come back again sometime. The person that cleans comment after you left is it is so nice to have a family that respects the home they are staying in and and leaves it in perfect condition when they leave. Glad you were able to make some great family memories.
This home is the rental I always dreamed of. Beautiful home - unbelievably well stocked - perfect location in a private, secluded area but within minutes of Mystic. Large yard for enjoying games - spacious sunroom that is so close to the water that you feel like you could dip your toes in the water while sitting there. Glori was wonderful and made sure everything was well tended to. We can’t wait to go back.
We had a wonderful week on Mason's Island. The School House Lane home was everything we expected and more. Gorgeous and not a spec of dust to be found. The kitchen was top-notch; all beds were comfortable. Even during the record-breaking heatwave, the house stayed comfortable and the air-conditioned bedrooms assured a great night's sleep. I loved watching the osprey nest from the upper bedroom window. Rare opportunity to see three osprey chicks take their first flights. Talk about a bird's eye view!! Glori was responsive and so helpful. She gave us great advice on sights and restaurants. Couldn't have asked for more. Five stars!!!
Regrettably, our rental period expired before we could spend enough time soaking in the views from the sunroom, watching the parade of yachts passing through the channel ¼ mile offshore in the Mystic River. Closer to shore and in the salt water marsh through the backyard, nature lovers will appreciate the diversity of birds. There’s even an osprey nest in a stand across the street. One of our favorite activities was starting our day with a morning stroll to Kitchen Little for breakfast. And the easy drive into town for late afternoon cocktails or dinner at any of the award-winning Mystic restaurants add to this home’s prime location. The home is clearly a treasured family estate. The owners have carefully blended mid-century modern characteristics with all of the contemporary conveniences renters expect. They were incredibly responsive to the slightest of issues. Our family had such a memorable time here that we will be booking another stay as soon as an opportunity becomes available. Giving it 5 stars doesn't do it justice.
We had an amazing time at this home. Mason's Island is a beautiful part of Mystic and this house cannot be beat. The view is everything!! But the house also delivers. The kitchen is amazing - we cooked a small Thanksgiving meal while there and we had more than enough available to us to make that happen. The rooms are set up to be cozy and enjoy the amazing views. The outside is nicely done with plenty to enjoy even in the colder months. Glori was delightful to work with - her list of things to know and activities to enjoy show how much she cares about her guests enjoying their stay. My whole family loved it - kids to adults - and we are all hoping to be able to return someday soon. Just a great experience all around!
My family doesn't use VRBO that often, but this was an unbelievably fantastic stay. The property and views are great and there is every amenity you could need. Felt like a high-end vacation. Cannot wait to stay again!
We had the most amazing time watching all the birds on the surrounding property as well as relaxing and watching the waves. There is shore, marsh, ponds, grass, trees and bushes so you get great variety of birds. There are panoramic views out of almost every window of the house showcasing all the different scenery. The inside of the home is even better than it looked in the pictures. You really don’t need to leave the home. But if you do it’s also awesome that the most of the restaurants and shops are less than 10 minutes away. Great experience!
This home is so beautiful and the views are incredible. Everything was perfect and the kitchen is the best you will ever find. We barely left the house and would love to come back.
This property was everything it was advertised to be and more. The home was very comfortable and had a homey atmosphere. Beds were extremely comfortable and the home did not lack for anything we needed. Owners were always available to answer questions and provided extensive information regarding restaurants, shopping and points of the interest in the area. Would definitely recommend this place and hope to visit it again.
Wonderful location with amazing views of water and bird life. The house was very comfortable, well equipped and organized. Also lots of activities and sights in the surrounding area. I hope we can go again.
If you like swimming, kayaking, biking, cooking, or just lying around gazing at a beautiful vista, this property is to die for. The owner couldn't have been more gracious.
This property is at a good location. It is a wonderful house with a beautiful view.
I had one of the best rental experience from this rental. Glori is really thoughtful and responsive throughout the rental period. The house is spacious with a large kitchen. It has an amazing light display and lot of cookware. The wood work on the furniture is beautiful. We had a great time staying at this house.
This house is really special! Kitchen has everything you need and the water views are spectacular! If you don’t want to cook Mystic has plenty of great restaurants to choose from as well. We stayed with my elderly mother and our 10 year old -great space for all generations to be together. House is clean, hosts accessible. The total package! We hope to come back for longer next time!
This house is absolutely delightful...like stepping back into one of the original beach cottages directly on the CT shore with all the charm...the location and view could not be better...lovingly maintained and updated by generations of the same family, this home is comfortable and so welcoming. The kitchen is the envy of all who have the pleasure of sharing this special place. Our hosts could not be more gracious and helpful, knowing the area so well, they are happy to share the hidden gems of this area....
We cannot wait for a return trip...
Such a wonderful property! Beautiful, cozy, and quiet. Surrounded by water with fantastic views in all directions. Kitchen absolutely out of this world. Only a few minutes' drive from downtown Mystic. Fantastic communication with Glori from initial inquiry to post-stay follow-up. Can't wait to come back!!
Stayed at this house during Thanksgiving. Location is beautiful and near shops (Mystic) and convenient to highway. In addition to the natural beauty of Mason’s Island, we were completely amazed by the most well equipped kitchen we have ever had in a rental house- and for Thanksgiving that was really important. Glori was fantastic in her communications and general responsiveness.

***** **** My wife and I live out of state. We use the house when we can and eventually plan to retire here. Our dachshund is a devoted Steelers fan
Why they chose this property
My grandparents built this house in 1946 when there were only a few people on the Island. They were able to get an absolutely ideal location. I have been coming here since the 1950s. We have continually updated the house and have had it professionally decorated. We don't put very much away, so our guests will feel that they are in a real home, not a rental
What makes this property unique
Everybody who walks into the house is taken by the views and the way that it fits naturally into the setting. It is very well decorated but has a relaxed feel that makes it very comfortable. The sounds of the water and wildlife are simply incredible. The coziness does not mean antiquated. The electronics are incredible and easy to use. Security is foremost with digital door lock, security system, driveway surveillance, smoke/carbon monoxide detectors, and thermostats which are integrated and computer controlled. Home theater, stereo, and internet are very reliable and easy to use. Very clear instructions cover all aspects of the house, and a large notebook contains an exhaustive compilation of things to do.
