Perfect house for our weekend of graduation celebrations! The patio was wonderful! The host was prompt responding to messages ges and even brought us a Bluetooth speaker for our party. The downstairs bathroom situation was a little awkward and it would have been nice to have more amenities for coffee. Overall it was a great stay and the location was perfect!

Thank you for your kind words. We enjoyed hosting!
I rented this house for my family to attend my son’s college graduation. The home has several
large rooms which allowed us to spread out for separate activities and a large den and television to accommodated our family movie time. The first floor bedroom and bath were perfect for my Mother who has mobility issues.
The host was responsive and the amenities, especially the extra tables and chairs are a life saver!!
The outside space is the perfect compliment to this house.

Thanks your your kind words! We were happy to host your family and friends for graduation.
We were up for football game at Wake Forrest. Grahm was excellent to work with and we didn't have any problems during our stay. The house was perfect for our needs, just as described on the listing and the pictures are accurate. Location is in a nice area and close to plenty of stores and restaurants although we only visited the Publix during our stay. It was rainy during our stay but we did manage to get some games of horseshoes in before the rain arrived. Although we didn't use the home gym, it is very nicely equipped, can't imagine needing anything else to stay fit during your stay. Would highly recommend staying here.

Week long stay for track meet
Our family booked this house, which was in the general location of the AAU Junior Olympics, which my daughter was competing in. The details of the house seemed to fit our needs quite well, so we were looking forward to our stay. First of all, let me begin by saying that the house is in a very nice area. But, we were worried that our stay wouldn’t happen, after not receiving any check in information from the host. We called his phone and messaged him multiple times without a response less than 22 hours from our scheduled check in. We contacted VRBO, and they too were unable to make contact. We had thought we were scammed, which was such an unpleasant feeling, especially knowing that due to the size of the event we were going for, we would be unable to book anything else within 60 miles.
Thankfully, the host did eventually get back to us, and stated that he forgot to send out the check in information. When we got to the house, the check in was simple, and our hopes were high. Unfortunately, the kitchen cleanliness was not to our standards. We had to kill two huge cockroaches which were darting across the kitchen floor. The countertops were filthy, and cabinets were sticky. There was an air fryer, which was caked with food from prior use and had a fishy odor to it. There were minimal utensils, and several lightbulbs burned out. Our socks became dirty from walking on the kitchen floor. We had purchased approx. $200 worth of cold foods, which was placed in the fridge. We noticed the next day, all the food was bad, as the fridge temp was over 50 degrees. The freezer temp was 28 degrees. A repair tech came to the house, and spent 5 minutes vacuuming dirt from the back of the fridge to get it working properly again. I do want to note that the host was kind enough to reimburse us for the lost food. All furniture in the house seemed very outdated and uncomfortable. The best part about the house was it’s complete gym.

We had noticed a dip in our bookings after this pleasant review. I thought it appropriate to respond to one item at a time.
To first addressed the cleanliness of the home. This was quite surprising. Before every guest, we clean the house from top to bottom this means wiping the walls, fans, windows etc. For all of the floors throughout the home, they get swept, vacuumed, mopped, and shined. While I am sure, there may be a missed spot from time to time. It is highly unlikely that the floor was as dirty as described.
At all times, anyone who books are our property has access to send a message or contact us by mobile phone. Upon booking the property you are sent a PDF with descriptions including phone number, where things are located in the house, places to eat, favorite restaurants etc.
Most people who live on the property no from time to time a refrigerator stops working. As the renter mentioned, they identified the problem we called the service tech and the issue was fixed immediately. Additionally, like the tenant said, we reimburse them for all lost food.
The home is 100 years old. As you can tell by the pictures some of the furniture is 100 years old as well. For the older furniture, everything has been reupholstered several times. All the beds and mattresses are less than three years old.
Overall, this was a disappointing review to to receive. We work really hard to stay in communication with anyone that stays at the home and remedy any issues quickly. We thought we had done this with Kevin but clearly this is not the case.
We stayed here to attend our daughter's graduation at HPU. The property was conveniently close to the campus. The location was central to lots of restaurants in the area. The owner offered suggestions to favorite local spots. Lots of room for all 6-7 of us. Nice large back yard with gardens. We would definately come back.
