Sunset Lake - 4 Bath, Dock, Outdoor Fireplace, Ski, UTV, Snowmobile

This is your perfect year-round retreat. Play all day in any season and return to relax by the fire or unwind in the soothing sauna. The main floor is designed for connection and comfort, featuring a fully stocked kitchen and a large dining table that seats ten—all set against large windows with incredible sunrise views over the lake.

Bedrooms & Bathrooms:
The main floor has three bedrooms, two of which feature private en-suite bathrooms. A third shared bathroom is also on this level, with a fourth bath conveniently located downstairs next to the sauna. The 4th bed is also located on the lower level and is a pullout queen sofa.

Lower Level Retreat:
Head downstairs to enjoy a comfortable seating area with a wood-burning fireplace, a game table with plenty of games for family fun.

Outdoor Living:
You have two deck and patio areas with wonderful lake views, perfect for outdoor dining. Enjoy the outdoor fireplace, a wood-fired pizza oven, and a grill for unforgettable evenings.

Family-Friendly: We welcome families and provide amenities like a crib and a high chair to make your stay easier.

If you plan on bringing a pet, please inform us at the time of booking. We will need to provide you with a pet addendum for signature prior to your arrival. There are no pets allowed on beds or furniture and they must be leashed while on the property at all times. Additional fees may apply.

Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Dishwasher Instructions(with door open): 1) press on/off button 2) selected wash cycle 3) select any options 4) press start 5) close door
Laundry - Please strip all linens and bring them down to the laundry room along with any dirty towel. Garbage - Take any excess trash to the receptacle locate outside by the garage.
Doors - Be sure to lock the french doors downstairs as well as the patio door on the main floor. When you leave press the red button on the bottom of the keypad to lock to front door behind you.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Beautiful views, beautiful home, easy access to property, all the comforts of home. Loved watching all the birds and chipmunks that frequented us every day. We spent a wonderful week at this property on beautiful Sunset Lake for our family get-together. The home easily and comfortably accommodates ten adults. The kitchen is fully equipped for meal preparation and the dining area is spacious for gathering at mealtime. The fireplace pato is a great outdoor seating area , especially on a cool evening.We give our host, Sam, a top 10 rating for his immediate response to our questions. We highly recommend this home!

Very well equipped home. Kitchen has everything you could need. If you plan on bringing a boat be aware that the dock is set up differently than the listing photo. The dock now has a private boat hoist and a boat on the left, stairs on the right, a floating raft (which my kids enjoyed) to the right of the dock making docking a boat or anchoring very tricky. The paddle board and kayaks were also a nice feature.

Wonderful stay!

The home looks over beautiful Sunset Lake. You cannot beat the views from the deck. A perfect place to have your morning coffee. Plenty of room for our family. The owner was quick to respond to all our questions. We were in town for a funeral, but will definitely stay here again under better circumstances.

No snow

Even with no snow, Brule was open for skiing and the cross country skiers found plenty to do with hiking to waterfalls. Owners were very responsive to a minor issue.

Great cottage

This is ann excellent property. Very comfortable and well equipped. We have another cottage on Sunset Lake and rented Sam's cottage because of a large family gathering. The 4 bathrooms are a big plus with a large group. Sam was very responsive to our questions. We also had a trailer at the property for additional bedrooms. All in all, a great experience and we'll certainly rent it again if we need the extra spae.

Great Place!

This was the perfect place to stay on our ski trip to Ski Brule. The house was very clean and had everything you could think of. The game selection they had was unbelievable. The kids loved playing the games at night. We went sledding one morning and did some ice fishing too. We all said we will stay here again when we come back to Ski Brule! There was plenty of space for 10 of us and a dog. Sam was so quick to respond to any questions we had before our trip and made sure everything was set to go. We all highly recommend staying here! Thanks Sam!!!

Iron River GEM

Our stay was everything we expected and more. The house was fully stocked with linens, kitchen utensils, games, and so much more. We traveled with 3 adults and 2 kids under 10 and appreciated all the thoughtful extras this house provided (crib, high chair, booster seats, kid cups with lids, gate at the top stairs) as well as a fully stocked kitchen - crock pot, griddle, etc. Less than 5 minutes from Iron River but felt like the middle of nowhere, very quiet and serene. We ice-fished (and caught a few northern!) and skied Brule one day (about a 20-minute drive). I would highly recommend this cabin 10/10 as well as the host (Sam) who was super communicative through the VRBO app and made sure we had everything we needed.

Great lake home getaway!

We stayed for a week at this cabin on Sunset Lake with our family. There was plenty of space for us all and we really enjoyed it. Kitchen it fully stocked- no need to bring anything along but some food. Plenty of dishes, pots/pans, spices, saran wrap, foil, zip locks, etc. Plenty of cleaning products as well for dish tabs, detergent, paper towels, garbage bags, etc. We brought our boat for the week and it was nice to have the pier to dock it. Lake is absolutely beautiful and I see why the call it Sunset Lake as we saw a few amazing ones while we were there. There are 2 big deck areas on different levels that was nice to use when family or friends stopped out to visit. We cooked out on the grill several of the nights. Our kids hung out in the basement and there were 3 full drawers of boards games that they enjoyed the whole time we were there. Sam was awesome to communicate with and took care of any issues or concerns immediately. We definitely would recommend people staying there with families, friends or small group. The only downside I can say is the steep hill from the house down to the lake. It didn't bother us, in fact, I think I may have lost some weight going up and down that hill many times a day! :) However, someone with knee/hip issues may have a harder time is all. We can't wait to come back!
