This was a great location with a beautiful setting and spectacular sunrise & sunsets. Plenty of areas to walk, and yet close to restaurants & town. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Steven was an excellent host, and answered any questions we had and was always readily available. Our grandchildren very much enjoyed seeing the farm animals and the toys that were provided. Our family had a great stay.

The farmhouse was a wonderful experience for our family. It provided both comfort and peaceful solitude during the busy holiday season. We needed a place to stay on short notice, and Steve, the host, was incredibly accommodating. It was such a relief to stay somewhere safe, clean, and comfortable for our children—there was even a toy room upstairs, which they loved. We were very impressed with how spotless everything was. It truly felt like a home away from home. We would definitely stay again!

This place is set up awesome for snowmobiling. The host was very helpful when we arrived. He let us know how to get to the snowmobile trail which is close and went over a few things with the property with us. He groomed a trail with his tractor from his property to the official snowmobile trail which was very appreciated. The place is very cozy with two fireplaces and absolutely no outside noise, so you get a really good night's sleep. We stayed for three nights rode all over in Michigan and into Wisconsin found plenty of restaurants and bars to stop at.

What a wonderful place to stay out and hope the woods away from everybody and the noise and smelled good. They were animals. I just can’t even describe how much I enjoyed the place. But, it is also a way from town so if you’ve gotten something and you need to get something at the store, it’s a good 15 minute trip. I did not mind it at all. There were those in my party who did. But it’s fun.

We really enjoyed Steve's property. Not realizing it was a working farm, we were delighted seeing the chickens, peacocks and cows. We had so much room and with a trailer in tow and a side x side, there were no issues at all. Steve was pleasant and informative about the area, and being able to ride trails directly from the property saved so much time as we didn't have to trailer everywhere we went. We loved seeing this area of the UP for the 1st time. With friends in Florence WI , this was a great location to have as home base. Thanks for sharing your family home!

I am originally from Iron River and enjoy the beautiful outdoors and all hobbies that include nature such as hiking, fishing and sunsets. I am familiar with local attractions and itineraries and will provide assistance to make your getaway enjoyable and memorable.

Why they chose this property

The northern lights, water and hilly vistas are what makes this area special. Seasonal variations in the landscape are all amazing.

What makes this property unique

The property is quiet and surrounded by the natural environment of over 2000 acres of commercial forest land. The closest neighbor is a mile away and yet we are located within 7 miles of Iron River and within three miles of Youngs Recreation complex and four spectacular lakes and two beautiful waterfalls.
The guest house was built in the 1920’s and has been fully restored with loads of character, charm and modern convenience including high speed internet, air conditioners, generator backup and two electric fireplaces. The farm has amazing landscape views and farm animals including cows, goats, chickens and peacock.
