Isla in the Sun - a place for nomadic spirits to call home, make memories & spark joy. Cozy up with your family and friends in this charming oceanside home in a family friendly neighborhood. Linens and towels are provided! We are a .3 mile walk to the beach entrance, conveniently across the street from Ocean Oaks Children’s Park & close to Emerald Isle Woods Park. Restaurants, attractions, shops & groceries are nearby (water park, go karts, mini golf)!

No parties/pets allowed.

The space has a simple & modern beach vibe, offering airy quarters with all the amenities needed to feel right at home. High speed internet & work space is provided for those who have to work in an island setting.

Outdoor:
Driveway parking (4 vehicles)
Security camera located in driveway facing the street.
Shaded back yard (not fence).
Home is built on stilts and must walk up outdoor stairs to enter the main entrance of the home.
Front deck & new patio has Adirondack chairs for relaxing.

Electronics:
The family room has a smart tv (no cable) and each bedroom has a tv with Roku. Netflix, Disney, YouTube TV, and other apps are available, but you must login with your own credentials.
Wifi is available.
The master bedroom has a laptop friendly work space.

Bedroom 1 (1st floor): queen-sized bed, ceiling fan, linens, dresser, tv, mirror, closet.
Bedroom 2 (2nd floor): two full-sized beds, linens, ceiling fan, dresser, mirror, private balcony, closets.
Bedroom 3 (2nd floor): queen-sized bed, linens, ceiling fan, dresser, work station, private balcony, full length mirror, walk in closets.

Kitchen:
Fully equipped with microwave, Keurig coffee maker, drip coffee maker, toaster, pots/pans, dishes, cups, wine glasses & utensils available.

Dining room:
Full dining table & chairs can accommodate up to six people.

Family room:
43” Smart TV, sectional sofa, two accent chairs, coffee table & ottoman.

The entire home is for rent with key code entry.
One closet in master bedroom and one closet in first floor bedroom are locked and will not be accessible. A second closet in each room will be available. Owner’s storage closet in carport area will be locked and will not be accessible.

Great place!

This was a great house - perfect for our family of four. Everything was as described and the host was very helpful when the downstairs AC wasn’t working. Highly recommend!

Fantastic Hospitality

We are so thankful that we had the opportunity to stay in this lovely beach house. Everything was spotlessly clean. We were greeted with a very generous welcome bag. The owner checked on us multiple times and was so helpful. She was absolutely fantastic! We hope to stay here again.

A short retreat.

Just my wife and I stayed for a short retreat. The house was extremely clean. Communication with the host was great. Mary was quick to respond to our questions.

Good place to stay.

Appliances need to updated. The dryer, dishwasher and ice maker are the loudest appliances that I've ever saw. House is very nice and is in great location.

Hi! My name is Mary. Our family relocated from up north to NC several years back. We fell in love with Emerald Isle while on a family vacation, and we knew we wanted to join this great community. There is so much to do while exploring the beautiful NC coastline. Our two boys love to boogie board in the ocean while soaking up the sun, and then fill their bellies with ice cream after a day of activities.

It brings us so much joy to be able to make great memories with our family and friends and we look forward to sharing that experience with our future guests!

Why they chose this property

Emerald Isle reminds us so much of Long Island, NY where our family grew up spending long awaited summers on the eastern end. We love the privacy of our neighborhood and its family friendly vibe. Having no parked cars on the street makes it easier for our kids to ride their bikes or scooters to the beach entrance. At dusk we love to sit on the deck and watch the deer walk by the property and listen to the waves at nighttime.

What makes this property unique

Located in the residential Ocean Oaks neighborhood of Emerald Isle, this quiet, family friendly community is conventionally located just over the bridge onto the island and walking distance to the beach (.3 miles). Across the street, you’ll find a modern children’s park and walking/running/bike trails. Gaffers Restaurant, Lazzara’s Pizza, Village Ice Cream & Candy, and more are only a 2-minute drive down the road. If you want a break from the beach, Emerald Woods Park is close by with shaded trails, frisbee golf, and access to the sound. The area’s natural beauty can also be enjoyed by visiting The Point and Water Tower Park.
