NEW: In an effort to provide you with outstanding accommodations, we have upgraded to a dual-air conditioning unit that allows for whole-unit AC. We've also upgraded to quartz countertops!

Aloha from Hale Malina! We invite you to enjoy a little piece of paradise, which has been recently updated to help you have a relaxing and enjoyable stay on the Big Island.

Our condo is a one bedroom and one bath top (third) floor unit in Kona Isle - an ocean front complex on Ali’i Drive. From the private lanai you get a beautiful view of the ocean to the west and mountain views to the east. The condo has an open concept kitchen and living room area with air-conditioning, a brand new queen-sized sofa sleeper, and plenty of space to lounge. The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, microwave, full-sized refrigerator, toaster oven, coffee maker, and dishwasher. Ceiling fans help keep the condo comfortable and a stacked washer and dryer set add to the convenience. The private bedroom also includes a memory foam queen bed and plenty of storage to unpack.

Kona Isle is a peaceful complex, which includes a solar heated swimming pool near the ocean and a private beach area with lounge chairs, picnic tables, and community gas barbecue grills - a perfect place to catch a sunset or just listen to the waves. The complex is ideally situated near shops, restaurants, beaches, golf courses, hiking trails, and historical state parks. Jump on the Kona Trolley on Ali'i Drive or ride share bikes nearby.

We proudly owner-manage our unit and DO NOT charge additional service fees! These service fees can add unnecessary cost to your bookings - be sure to compare!

Host was very nice. I had some questions for him and he always replied promptly. We have stayed in a lot of VRBOs and this one had the best stocked kitchen. It was clean and most importantly, the bed was very comfortable. The condo unit was also very quiet which is always a plus.

Third floor condo, nobody above you. It was pretty peaceful and quiet. There are two AC, one in the bedroom, one in the living room. One reserved parking spot. The pool and the area with the chairs are nice to relax after a long day. Self check- in is pretty straightforward, also there are printed instructions in the condo pretty much for everything. Host is responsive.

We had a great time in Kona. The condo was very nice, it had everything we needed to make our stay in Kona . The communication with the homeowner was very good and answered any questions we had. We would definitely book this condo again if we return back to the big island.

Perfect location, perfect stay

However, the Big Island affords so much diversity that we often find ourselves discovering new areas to call our favorite place to swim, hike or watch for whales. Between the historic parks and the Hawaiian culture, there is so much to learn and find your inner aloha.

A few years ago we fell in love with the Big Island and Kona, in particular because of its wonderful climate, quaint size, and proximity to a wide variety of activities. We are excited to share our little slice of paradise so others can discover the beauty of the Big Island!
