UP-Scale Lofts are two-bedroom apartments in the heart of downtown Munising, Michigan - Upper Peninsula. These 2nd-floor loft apartments are centrally located within walking distance to restaurants, groceries, pubs and breweries, coffee shops, and many area highlights, including Pictured Rocks Cruises and Munising Bay. Local host provides a quiet, clean, and classy space with all the amenities for a quality stay. The lofts are a short distance from many beaches, waterfalls, trails, and the adventures of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore and Hiawatha National Forest.

UP Scale Lofts offer ample space to relax after a long day of exploring, cook with family and friends, or enjoy a stress-free workcation with high-speed internet. Two bedrooms are furnished with brand-new mattresses and high-quality bedding. Full-bathroom features a tiled tub/shower combination, plush towels, hand towels, and washcloths.

Two private parking spaces are assigned to each apartment.

Our second, 2-bedroom Luxury Loft is located directly across the hall and can additionally be booked for larger parties. Each unit has its own entrance.

Primarily this property is best for adults & is not equipped for small children as it is located on a busy street, there is no yard, & a professional couple without children, and a business co-occupy the building.

We truly enjoyed our stay in Munising. The apartment was absolutely perfect. Perfect combination of classic wooden floors and beautiful decor. Our host kept us well informed and we really enjoyed the access to Pictured Rocks and local beaches. Can’t wait to come back.

This apartment is located in the pretty downtown area of Munising and is in walking distance to the restaurants and bars we wanted to go to. The apartment was very comfortable and incredibly clean. Kudos to the cleaning staff. My husband thinks the bed was the most comfortable bed he’s ever slept on. Check in/check out could not have been easier.

Comfortable and convenient appartment in Munising, gateway to pictured rock national lakeshore. Easy access to the Marquette area as well. Owner is clear and responsive. Kayaking at Pictured Rocks

Adorable 2 bedroom apt with kitchen and living room. My family visited 3 cities on a week long road trip. Munising is a quaint small town with outdoor sports and marina. If I knew the area I would have added more days at this stop. Clean and neat place in a cute small town America. I'll stay again in the future

Had really great communication with the host. The host gave several recommendations for places to eat and activities to do. My daughter and I did several of these recommendations and had so much fun. The location is perdect as you can easily walk to restaurants, coffee shops and to get on boat tours for Pictured Rock. My daughter and I felt at home during our stay. This apartment is the perfect place for a visit to Munising and surrounding area. It is spacious, bright and beautifully presented. The online photos give an excellent representation. There is a full kitchen which is very well equipped for cooking. We did all our grocery shopping at the IGA half a block away. The apartment is in the center of the little town. We walked to the bay front frequently where there is lots of activity. Restaurants and stores are also right there. I loved the art gallery underneath the apartment. We hiked, kayaked, went over to Grand Island, drove to Grand Marais and enjoyed every minute. It is easy to pick up maps and information to plan activities. We highly recommend the kayaking trip to Pictured Rocks. It was hard to leave Munising. This apartment is one of the best vacation rentals we have ever found. I hope we will be back.

Lovely location in Munising

I stayed in the luxury loft with a friend while we explored Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. The loft was lovely and had everything we needed. Couldn’t beat the location. The host, Libby, was very helpful as well.

As you see, my name is Libby. I am a serial traveler/entrepreneur finally settling down in the great Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I originally moved to the area with my coffee bus, The Dream Bean Machine, after finding a retail building to rent and park at in Grand Marais in 2020. I fell into the business of short-term rentals after trading up from my first home until I landed a fantastic mixed rental unit in the heart of Downtown Munising.

As most do, I had quickly fallen in love with the UP, Pictured Rocks, Munising, and now being able to share our space with anyone ready to come check it out. My partner, pup, and I love hiking, biking, skiing, fishing, kayaking, and beaching. We also enjoy finding the best food, coffee, craft beer, and live music. We chose the UP as our home accordingly, and personally believe it to be as good as it gets!

I was a resident here when the building went up for sale. I loved the building, its location, its diverse offerings, and Munising. Needing to reinvest after selling my rental downstate, this building was a shoo-in. I was even lucky enough to have a great relationship with the sellers (my landlords)!

Staying right downtown with two off-street parking spots guaranteeing free downtown parking at all times is as good as it gets! Munising Bay Arts Association rents the lower level offering unique, local, and hand-crafted goods on-site. Munising Bay/Lake Superior is a 5-minute walk. Gallery Coffee and Fallingrock Cafe are two unique and highly sought-after coffee shops located across the street with ample seating and workspace available.
