Tucked into a quiet hillside just outside Dahlonega, this spacious lodge is one of those places where you can truly slow down and enjoy the mountains. With peaceful views of the woods and a small lake just below, it’s a great spot for gathering with family and friends—whether you’re here for a special occasion or just a weekend away. And yes, your pups are welcome too (pet fee applies*).
One of our favorite things about this home is how much time you can spend outside. There’s over 2,800 sq ft of deck and porch space- perfect for morning coffee, grilling in the evenings, or just sitting back and listening to nature. You’ll find a six-person hot tub and a ping pong table below for a little fun, and out back there’s a fire pit for winding down at night (just bring firewood). If you’re up for a short stroll, a walking trail leads you right down to the small lake on the property. There’s also a shared pavilion picnic area in the neighborhood that guests are welcome to use.
Inside, the home is set up to comfortably spread out across three levels:
•Main floor: Easy access from the parking area (just two steps in). You’ll find the primary bedroom here, plus another large bedroom with two bunk beds (twin-over-twin and twin-over-queen)—a great setup for kids or groups. Also features a gas fireplace and spacious living area. •Upstairs loft: A cozy queen bedroom (no door but still private) with a small crib and its own private bathroom. •Basement level: A second kitchen, two additional bedrooms (one king, one queen), plus a fireplace and a quiet office space if you need to check in on work. Whether you’re cooking together, soaking in the hot tub, or just enjoying the view from the porch, this place is designed for connection and comfort.
•Downtown Dahlonega: 15 mins •Helen: 30 mins •R-Ranch in the Mountains: 8 mins •Wolf Mountain Vineyards: 8 mins

The house and property were great. Loved the outdoor fire pit and the kitchen was well stocked. Advertised as 5 bedrooms, just know that one of the bedrooms is a loft open to the living/kitchen area. Loved the cabin feel especially for a mountain weekend.
Everything was really nice my only suggestion is to buy normal sized living room furniture. The couches and chairs were like small ikea furniture. As a tall family it was not enjoyable to sit in the living room. My dad rented another house in the same neighborhood and they had normal sized living room furniture. It became the running joke that our living room was furniture from a cheap college dorm.

Rented this property for a birthday weekend with some friends. Location was great/very close to several wineries but still private enough to enjoy some r&r. The cabin was very clean and had plenty of space for our large group.

Hi Brittany. Pleased to see you had an excellent stay. Perhaps we will share another birthday soon!
We enjoyed our visit …two families, plenty of room for more. From the back deck we saw Deer, visited nearby orchards and wineries. Downtown Dahlonega was only a few miles. Would definitely stay here again!

Difficult to get there, one lane road over half a mile. Very hilly. Some water damage and lots of carpenter ants that need to be treated.

Sorry if you missed our road disclosure in the "property notes" portion of our listing, we will get pest control out for the ants. Thanks for staying with us!
Absolutely beautiful property with comfortable beds, hot showers, and a well stocked kitchen.
There were clear operating instructions for everything in the house (TVs, fireplaces, hot tub, gas stove, etc…) and it was so easy to gain access using the smart locks.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this property!!

Hi Tracy, thanks for taking the time to review our property. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
The property was fantastic. Everything was in working order and the property manager communicated very well with us regarding freeze preparations for the house. Our heat and power stayed on through quite a two day freeze. Getting to the cabin was a bit challenging but I understand that is part of the lure of the property. Very well isolated and quite. One suggestion from my wife was to put coat hooks near the exit doors for those cold evenings when you just want to throw something on to stay warm.

Thanks for the feedback, Mike. I hope you can come back to the cabin again soon!
The house was amazing and even accommodated my friend’s daughter who is handicapped and is in a wheelchair. We were able to get her in the main level working together with the two steps to the front door. This was helpful since it is not listed as handicap accessible. The walk in shower in the master bedroom on the main floor was also a huge plus for her. The problem we had that was very disappointing was that we were not able to enjoy the hot tub at all. It never would get hot. The highest temperature it got to was 91. We let it run all day, hoping it would reach the desired temperature to enjoy relaxing in it, but it never got to a temperature high enough to enjoy. I contacted the host. They did apologize and said it takes it longer to heat up when it’s cold out. I’ve inquired elsewhere and have been told that has nothing to do with it. I’ve also stayed in other places in as cold or colder weather and have never had an issue with the hot tub heating up. I would definitely recommend having it serviced. Other than that, it is a very nice and comfy-cozy cabin. The bath and bedding were supplied, so that was really nice as well. They had a nice variety of games to play. One other recommendation I would give is to consider putting a hockey or pool table in the living area on the bottom level. The ping pong table is great, but it’s outside. So it was too cold to enjoy playing ping pong.
This cabin is secluded enough to feel like you are out in nature, but still close enough to grocery stores and shops. We enjoyed the fact that the property is pet friendly and the dogs loved being able to run in the back yard area and down to the waters edge. The only issues we encountered were the kitchen oven did not seem to reach the desired temperature. We resorted to setting higher than desired and that seemed to help. Also, the hot tub struggled to reach a sufficient temperature. We used it our first morning and the water temp dropped to 84 while we were in the tub. We covered it back and while we checked periodically, it never got past 95 and we did not attempt to use it after that initial time.

Thanks for the review and the feedback. It seems the ovens are both working properly, and the hot tub was on the wrong mode so that is why it didn't work properly. We do have instructions for correcting that issue in the information binder. Thanks again for staying!

Reviewer Comments:
Overall our stay was good. Most everything worked. The upstairs shower leaked to downstairs on top of refrigerator. One glass got busted in the dishwasher. There isn’t a large frying pan. The spoons were either huge or very tiny like a baby spoon. No hairdryers though it said there were. The hardest thing for us was the road and the parking. We had 4 cars and it was very difficult to turn around. We were driving back and forth to our cousins house. We didn’t want to drive at night because we had a hard enough time seeing in the daylight. The road was a narrow one with no space on either side, extremely up and down and a long way from the main road. We were at the very end of it. Also there’s a weird landing in basement that my cousin feel off of. There aren’t extra moveable chair. There was a nice pond. We enjoyed the fire, though we had to get our own wood kindling and matches. Despite issues we had a great time with family.

Hi Cameron, i'm glad you enjoyed your stay and thanks for the feedback. I do apologize for the misunderstanding on the firewood and the road in the subdivision, but these are both in our listing. We were able to find the hair dryer where it was supposed to be, but thank you for bringing it to our attention.

Stayed there for a weekend for my son's wedding. While the location was convenient, that's about all that we liked about the cabin. The overall place was dirty, lots of spiders in and out of the cabin. Water damage all through the ceilings of the place and finding it was not the easiest either. Not the worst place to stay but I would not recommend it to anyone.
