About this property

Vineyard Suite at Chateau Valhalla

The Chateau sits on 30 private acres 600 feet above the City of Selah,  with a 360 degree view of the Valley plus Mt. Adams and Mt. Rainier. Relax by the pool or on the covered private patio,  gaze across the orchards and vineyards as the sunsets. Bring your camera to take pictures of the breath taking scenery and sunsets. Then take a walk around the pond or hike the local trails, all this... only minutes from Town. Each Suite has its own private bath, walk in closet and picture window to take in the sweeping views,  allowing just 2 Guests per suite. Each suite has a microwave, coffee pot, herbal teas, throw blanket and mini-fridge. There is a Dining-Room (Shared), Kitchen (Shared), Living room (Shared), Theater Room (Shared), Patio (Shared) 1 Pool (Shared) Wi-Fi. We have a full kitchen plus 3 outdoor BBQ if you would like to stay in to dine at the Chateau.

An absolutely stunning chateau! The serene setting, breathtaking views, and beautifully maintained pool made our stay unforgettable. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and we loved the peaceful ambiance by the pond at sunset. Perfect for a relaxing getaway—highly recommend!

The property is stunning. I’m sorry we weren’t able to enjoy more but we had dancing to do. The owner was wonderful and very accommodating. We will definitely come back and hopefully spend more time on the property. A wonderful stay.

No kitchen, breathtaking views!

When we stay at VRBOs, I do all the cooking, which was not possible here. (There are barbecues, but as a vegetarian, I don’t use them.) Glad I had a salad already made. This is a beautiful location, Chuck is friendly and helpful, and Teddy is adorable!

Beautiful Place But…

Very beautiful place and the views were Remarkable! However the beds were very uncomfortable. They were like and old box spring with a plastic protective cover on so every time I would move I would hear the plastic. It was also hot in the room and we were unable to control the temperature. The shower took a long time to produce hot water, I would say about 10 minutes to warm up. There were no instructions left on what we were or were not allowed to do in the house upon arrival or a WI-FI password.

Disorganized host led to unavailable booking

Unfortunately my husband and I were unable to stay at this property as the host failed to communicate that the unit was unavailable. We didn’t learn this information until 45min prior to check in (after waiting all morning for check in instructions). This was also after confirming our booking months prior, and the host and I communicating several times back and forth. We had to last minute scramble to find other lodging that cost us about double the amount of our original booking.

Amazing Place

Das Objekt liegt einfach nur traumhaft. Man hat einen fantastischen Blick. Der Vermieter ist sehr freundlich und hat immer direkt auf unsere Anfragen reagiert. Am besten ist es aber wenn man ihn anruft, da die Emails nicht ständig geprüft werden. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt und können es auf jeden Fall empfehlen.

Host was not responsive. Hung around waiting to hear back, finally just headed there at the check in time and got rushed through getting into the room because he was going somewhere. Awoken by some very loud guests (maybe the owner?) at 1:30am. Every creamer in the coffee basket had turned because they were so old. No TV.

I am a life long resident of the Yakima Valley and grew up on a family farm only minutes away form where we built the Chateau in 1999. I have passion for food, wine and adventure and love to entertain people at the chateau.

Why they chose this property

There is just no other property in the valley that is this conventionally located, has this level of privacy we offer or has a view like the Chateau.

What makes this property unique

Location, Privacy, View, the grounds with a 2 million gallon pond that has an island. The home was designed with comfort and convenience in mind there are no stairs or steps any where.
