It was off the beaten path but great access to Salt Pond beach & Drunk Bay. A 3 minute walk found a couple of dozen Flamingos in a local pond. Our host met us at check in & made us feel right at home.

Lovely camp site

Quiet place to get away from tourists. Close to a beach. Definitely rent a car since it's on the tail end of the island

Lameshur Cottages have a beautiful location and wonderful owners. They made us feel very much at home. We couldn't have asked for more. Being so close to some of the best beaches on St John made it even better.

Loved our stay!

We loved our stay camping under the stars in the national park. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and we would hang out on the couches making breakfast each morning. Our hosts were extremely helpful before and during our stay. We will definitely be coming back! Thank you so much for the awesome experience:)

The picture showed a guitar in the room but the guitar was unusable. Although a guitar is above and beyond requirements for a camp area, it would be a nice feature. The kitchen was well stocked, although a single cup coffee cone would be a good thing to have.

We had a great stay here. I wish we stayed longer to enjoy the beach gear, cooler, etc that they kindly provide. We only stayed one night before another stay. We were thrilled to check out this side of the island as we had never been. We used the opportunity to hike Ram Head Trail at sunrise then snorkel at Salt Pond Beach. It is so close! Bill was great and gave us a tour. The AC works great!

Hidden gem

We had a terrific stay at Lameshur Cottages. The location is perfect for visiting the south side beaches and enjoying the beauty of St. John away from crowds. We stayed n one of the container units which was very comfortable with great AC. The property is charming, and the common area kitchen is very well-equipped with everything you need to cook—stove, grill, microwave, coffee maker, pots and pans, etc. Bill was extremely helpful with information about snorkeling and restaurants. There are also a yurt and a cottage available. A wonderful place!

Great

I took the $1 VI bus from St. john Port (Cruz Bay), and it drops you just 3 houses down from the spot. Excellent spot if you avoid the costly rental vehicles. Ken and Amanda were great help and I stayed up later having a cold beer with them and talking with another couple staying there. Highly recommend as a all of the individuals are cool and down to earth. They know tons of the island.

Would stay again!

Just as advertised! Hiked Rams Head trail one morning from the property. It was nice staying on the east side for a couple of nights to hit up salt pond and Lameshurs. Loved that we could use the refrigerator and they provided drinking water. They have a great set up and provide a lot of extras like beach chairs and charged battery packs so that we could charge our cell phones at night! Thank you!

Our stay was very nice. It was quiet and peaceful. (There are a group of dueling-roosters, but you need to understand that you’re in the islands)It had everything we needed. The washing machine was nice. Our cell phone company did not have service and the internet was VERY slow. Bring pen and paper and have paper maps. “Attention” pre pay for your rental car if you use one at the airport or you may not have one when you land. We always use K’s rentals 340-244-2897 local contacts are the way to go.KsRental340@gmail.com They will take care of you.!

Thanks for you're stay, but I think you reviewed a different property. We definitely don't have any roosters on our quiet side of the island. We don't have a washing machine but we do provide clothes lines to dry you're stuff after the beach. And our Internet is extremely fast, we have starlink satellite Internet and also viya internet in the common areas so you get the best of both worlds

Amazing remote accommodations!

Bill and Emily welcomed us upon arrival and gave us a tour of the grounds. Everything was clean and neat. Thoughtful accessories for cooking and relaxing. Beautifully landscaped. Comfortable beds. Very close to many wonderful bays and hiking trails. We hiked to 6 bays and snorkeled each from this location. The area is very hilly and wildly beautiful. Hardly anyone in any of the beaches. And the snorkeling was as good as we have seen out near the points and we have seen a bit. Do not hesitate to book here. We enjoyed very much and hope to return.

Great Glamping!

We had a terrific stay here! We used to love camping, but now our bodies love comfortable beds and air conditioning. This place has the best of both! The container room was completely comfortable. The kitchen area has a refrigerator so it was easy to keep supplies there. And you are surrounded by nature - deer, donkeys, goats, sugarbirds, toads... This site is located near Salt Pond Bay, the best beach on St. John, in my opinion, as well as the start to Ram Head trail, which is a gorgeous hike. It's is not at all commercial - no rentals or concessions - but the owner of the site has gear that you can borrow, including umbrellas, chairs floaties, and snorkel gear. (And you'll want snorkel gear because there is very cool snorkeling at Salt Pond Bay.) Except for Salt Pond Bay, you can't walk anywhere, but Coral Bay is about a 10 minute drive and there are restaurants and small markets there.

We loved this upgraded glamping. Very comfortable with air conditioning, Wi-Fi and a tv. Thoughtful common space amenities including space in the refrigerator. Enjoyed the use of beach chairs and snorkel gear for the day. Great location to Salt Pond. We loved our hike along Ram Head Trail and had gotten sandwich provisions at the market for a picnic. We hiked into Great Lameshur Beach but the beach is all rock. Definitely need a jeep/car and not a lot over on this side but we drove over to Trunk Bay/ Cinnamon Bay and highly recommend sunset at The Windmill Bar. Recommend Coral Bay restaurants as the closest to the property and taking a boat out to Lime Out. (Note 5.8 miles will take you 25 minutes)
