The home was nice. It was quiet. The spider crickets were bad. Two small scorpions under the trash can. The goat heads were everywhere. I picked off goat heads after evey trip outside minimum of 5. The spider crickets would crawl on you while you slept waking me up. I needed a place to stay that was in this area. The wild life was nice to watch. Overall a nice home except the bugs and stickers.

We are surprised to hear about the concerns regarding the insects, as we did not receive any communication about these issues during your month-long stay. Had we known, we would have been happy to address the concerns and do what we could to make your stay more comfortable. The house is located in a natural canyon environment, where wildlife, insects, and native vegetation are part of the surroundings. While we routinely address pest issues and maintain the property, it is not possible to completely eliminate wildlife or naturally occurring vegetation such as goat heads in a rural canyon setting. We appreciate your positive comments about the home and peaceful location, and we wish you the best in your future travels.

We had a very nice stay here. It was conveniently located between Palo Duro Canyon and Amarillo. All beds were comfortable. Amelia was extremely helpful, and she responded very quickly to any requests or needs we had.

Great Palo Duro getaway

We were looking for a place to stop between Denver and Houston and had never heard of Palo Duro before, and are grateful for this nice place near the state park to be able to break up the trip.

Beautiful secluded property

Very close to Palo Duro and Amarillo proper. Tucked out of the way but very accessible. Great option if you're traveling with a dog - large yard and plenty of room to run.

Wow! Spectacular getaway for our family. We had 2 seniors, 2 tweens and a little one. Everyone found something to enjoy. Well stocked kitchen. I recommend bringing house shoes if you're sentive to cold floors. And this is definitely a great place to bring comfy clothes and just relax.

Summer Road Trip

We had a great time! We stopped here on our way to Colorado, driving from South Texas. We visited Palo Duro Canyon, which was amazing! We ate at the Big Texan Steakhouse, so much fun! The house was great!
