Enjoyed Compass Rose

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Compass Rose. Jenny, our host did a great job of checking us in and then assisting us in getting to the ferry when we left the island. This a a great location and the house had everything we needed and more. The interior is a little more dated than it appears in the photos, and will possibly be in need of some upgrades soon, but this did not detract from our stay in any meaningful way. Overall this was a great experience.

Wow! Amazing place on North Captiva!

We were the first guests to stay after Ian in March 2023, and the property was in much better shape than a lot of others on the island! Everything was in tip top shape, and we had the most amazing time! The views are incredible, and the owner and manager went above and beyond! Very easy to communicate with! We would definitely stay again!

Everything you need and more

Compass Rose has everything you need to have a great vacation. It was just my husband, myself, and our pup, so we obviously had plenty of room. You can see the water and the beach from the living floor easily...which is important to us. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Compass Rose is a perfect vacation property. Super close to the beach, beautiful views from their numerous decks, Great living spaces, inviting pool, and oh so many games (board, puzzles, cornhole, ping pong). Property manager was so quick to respond and was always willing to help. Wifi isnt the best...but hey, it is an island...at least they have wifi. It was a great vacation - highly recommend!

Presidents week getaway

The property easily accommodated 5 adults and 2 teenage. Kitchen was well stocked and organized. Rooms were clean and private. We enjoyed the views from the roof sitting area. Caretaker was magnificent-picked us up at the dock and brought our bags into the house, gave us the island tour, We'd stay there again. Would have liked better lighting in the bedroom and living area though.

Property was as described and property manager was easily accessible and extremely quick to respond to any requests/concerns. Our golf cart was not functioning properly, and Jenny brought a replacement ASAP! The owner also stopped by to make sure we had everything we needed. Rooftop deck was perfect for sunsets!!

Amazing Views, GREAT location

Our first trip to the island. The location of the house was incredible. Super easy quick walk to the beach, we really enjoyed that the views from the main living area of the house where we spent our awake time were so beautiful. We loved having the private pool and used it often. Everything’ just as described. The sunset views from the roof are memorable. The owner and property manager communicated perfectly from day I booked the house until the day we left. Would definitely stay at this house again.

Spring Break 2021

The Compass Rose is absolutely superb! The view from the top can’t be beat. Seconds from the beach and a pool that feels like a spa. The kitchen is fully stocked and the beds are so comfortable. The games that were at the house kept our kids fully entertained! It was great to see them play rather than to be on electronics. One of the best houses on North Captiva!

Perfect location and great house

This was our second visit to North Captiva. This house was wonderful. The location is great, you can easily walk to the beach. All household supplies were provided, which was very convenient given that otherwise you have to bring those items over on the ferry. The house was as pictured, the pool was warm and we used it everyday. The host took the time to answer all of our questions. We would come back in a heartbeat.

This property was amazing! Jenny the property manager went out of her way for everything!! The owner always got back with us on any questions. The house was comfortable & clean with spectacular views! Love the location of this home! The beaches are amazing with lots of shells! Feels like you are in the Carribean with dirt roads for biking & golf carts. So relaxing & planning on returning back by next year!! Thank you for a wonderful experience .

What a great vacation. Everything was too notch from the time we were picked up by Pine Island Taxi, to an easy stop at Publix and then Island Girl Ferry. Jenny and The house was beautifully appointed. Travis were wonderful to work with. The views were soul rejuvenating. Best burger I have had on Cabbage Key. Dan was great to work with and provided every detail we needed. We will be back.

Great escape from winter

We had a great time at the Compass Rose. Daniel was a great host and his house was better than expected. His pre-stay advice was helpful and thorough making this "slightly" out of the way experience, exceptional. We appreciated all the amenities that were at the house already (bikes, kites, kayaks, lounge chairs, pool toys, and even extra batteries). We were able to enjoy vacation without really worrying about anything other than watching the sunset every night.

Amazing vacation and awesome experience!!

We have so many great things to say about this vacation property and the island. The hosts made the check in process stress free from the moment we stepped off of the boat. The house was well kept and furnished and we had zero issues during our stay. The location of the house to the beach is nothing short of perfect. You have great views of the ocean from all windows of the house with an unobstructed view. The beach is just a short walk from the house or a short golf cart ride. The pool was amazing as well! If you're thinking of visiting North Captiva and are trying to narrow down your search on where to stay, this is the place!
