With us you will not get bored: Sankt Englmar in summer is a mountain and hiking paradise. The surrounding mountains and forests invite you to hikes and bike tours (bike rental in the facility and also e-bikes in the local sports shops. A visit to the spa park is also recommended there. It has a nice children's playground, a petting zoo with goats, rabbits and ducks and a clean swimming lake. A few minutes drive away is the absolutely worth seeing Waldwipfel-Weg with the "Haus am Kopf" as well as a leisure park with a summer toboggan run, roller coaster, flying fox, a mountain roller coaster and a multiple water slide. In the old rectory of St. Englmar attracts the “Ixperium”, a kind of experimental museum that is not only interesting for children. There is a canoe rental shop in Viechtach and along the Regen river, an old silver mine worth visiting at Bodenmais and many glass factories and shops in the region. The glass village in Arnbruck and Joschka in Bodenmais are the largest facilities that are recommended for a half-day trip.
In winter, Sankt Englmar becomes a paradise for winter sports. Then you can go ice skating in the Kurpark and of course buckle up the board. Practically on the doorstep of the Predigtstuhl Resort there is a dense network of cross-country ski trails, for the lifts and (artificial snow) slopes at the Predigtstuhl you don't need a car. It is ten minutes by car to the Pröller, which also has a lot to offer with more slopes and some nice huts and inns. They are also covered with artificial snow (except for the Pröller north slope). The evening ski fun under floodlights is very popular - and everywhere the prices for the ski pass are significantly lower than, for example, in the Alps. There are ski schools and ski rentals right in the complex. The toboggan lift at the spa park in Sankt Englmar is a hit with children, where the sledges are carried up again by drag lift.
