Property descriptions are perfect. Great place to bring the family together. Plenty of room to meet, eat, relax and take in the valley views. We would stay here again without question
This was the best family reunion ever!! Everyone enjoyed their stay .
It was wonderful, from the time we got there until we left. We had everything we needed and so many fun things to do very close. Will definitely do it again
Beautiful view and a great location for the activities.
We enjoyed the views and had lots of room to spread out in the house with our family. With six bedrooms, every couple had their own room. Deer walked very close to the house which was a treat for everyone to see. We were close to all the activities yet far enough away to enjoy the quiet of the evening. We really enjoyed the stay and highly recommend it.
Great place. Isolated yet within driving distance of several cool places with plenty to do. Place was a little dusty when we arrived but management was very available and took care of our needs. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
The home is beautiful but it doesn’t appear that it had been properly cleaned in awhile. The oven and fridge definitely need some attention. It also needed to be vacuumed in corners, etc.
Overall, we had a great time and the property and the views were amazing.
Good amenities and good service when required. Good cleanliness
Liked the layout of the house especially the first floor bedroom and bath for limited mobility person. Kitchen and laundry facilities were handy and equipped well. Good A/C and water supply.
We had our multi-family reunion (8 adults / 7 kids) at the Valley Ranch location and it was wonderful. The pictures don't do justice to just how beautiful the surrounding landscape is. You will want to spend every minute you can outdoors. The house sits out on on a bluff with commanding views from every balcony, so you feel totally removed from the world -- but still only a 10 min drive to Royal Gorge Park and 15-20 min back to Canon City. The common areas flow easily with a great room, kitchen and loft providing plenty of space to gather if the weather drives you inside. Bedrooms are all nice, with a very large master on the second floor, as well as a 1 bedroom on the first floor which was great for accessibility, and the rest in the bottom floor along with another family room & bar. The property sits on the grounds of the Zipline and the concierge service to schedule that or rafting made the entire trip feel top-notch. The only thing to be aware of is that there is no satellite/cable TV in any of the locations. It was fine for us as we were looking for a quieter trip without those distractions, but worth noting.
The location of this property is amazing. The property was still being cleaned upon our arrival but they offered us appetizers and drinks from the restaurant next door which was very sweet of them. There were no sheets only blankets provided and a couple of the sofa beds were broken. Also, a man showed up to fix a loose floor board on the deck during our stay. Overall it was a great cabin with a GREAT location and friendly staff. I would definitely stay here again, I would just recommend adding sheets and fixing the sofa beds.
Our family from Texas, Georgia, and Michigan converged in Colorado for our daughter’s wedding. This house was where we connected to share meals and play games and to house many. We loved it!!
We had a long weekend with 4 families (8 adults and 5 teens). Plenty of space of everyone, great views of the valley from the house, nice hot tub, and outdoor grill. All-in-all it was a good stay but a few areas for improvement:
1) The house needs a deep cleaning including the shampooing carpet, steam clean upholstery, dusting of floors, counters, baseboards, etc. In example, when you would sit on the couches there was a cloud of dust.
2) There was one wine glass in the house.
3) Kitchen pots/pans were well stocked except there were no baking dishes.
4) There was no bar soap or shampoo in the bathrooms.
This place is amazing for a big group and very clean! With an AMAZING view from all angles!!
It had the best views, so nice to wake up in the morning to a stunning snow covered mountains! It is exactly like the pictures and more! We loved it so much!
Pictures do not do it justice!!! We had a group of 20 ranging from 8 weeks old to 68 yrs old.
THE PROPERTY/LOCATION: It is picturesque and secluded in the best way. I worried with such a large group with some highly active little kiddos we might disturb others but that wasn't an issue here. So much to do just at the house alone. We hiked around the property, had fires in the firepit, used the hot tub, had ping pong tournaments, cooked family dinners, even saw cattle around the hosue. I just can't say enough about it!
When you want to get out you are only 10 minutes away from some really cool spots. We went to The Royal Gorge and you could see our house from there! The views really are spectacular! If you want to go skiing it is just a little over an hour to Monarch Mountain. There are 2 convenient grocery stores to choose from as well as plenty of activities for kids and adults, restaurants and breweries.
THE HOUSE: Amazing space and plenty of room to be together or spread out for privacy or relaxation. From private balconies to a giant one where we could all gather. Rooms have plenty of space and the sound didn't travel all over the house. The bottom floor has a small bar with sink and refrigerator. *** Disclaimer Ahead***
SLEEPER SOFAS: While the bedrooms were great, our only complaint is the pull out sofas. They were absolutely not fit for anyone to sleep on, not even my 35 lb niece. There are 4 pull out beds, 3 that we couldn't use. Upstairs the mattresses were basically springs with fabric over them and if sat on it they would fall thru the spaces. The only way were were able to utilize 1 pull out on the bottom floor was to take one of the pads and stack it on top of another. If you are going with the mindset that you need those sleepers...BRING AIR MATTRESSES instead. Regardless of this, I would still go back to this house!
THE KITCHEN: is stocked very well. We weren't sure so we brought a bunch of unnecessary stuff. It really had everything we needed outside of a crockpot. Plenty of dishes and utensils. It has a ton of storage and the appliances are top notch. There is an extra refrigerator in the garage as well.
There is a no shoe policy that made things kind of a pain to deal with especially during cold winter months. Bring house shoes!
Management was an absolute dream as well...very easy to correspond with! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY!!
10/9.9!
Fantastic! The space and views were breathtaking. The Spacious kitchen hosted a family baking competition with plenty of room for three couples to make killer Christmas cookies! We made so many great memories and will look forward to visiting again!!!
Overall I love the property and the area. There are a few things in the house that could use some attention (the dishwasher basket rollers, the faucet in the kitchen sink, burned out light bulbs, etc.) but it's a great property and we had a wonderful time there. I suspect we will be back in the future.
After the country started opening up a little do to the Corona virus my family needed a getaway! The Royal Gorge was the perfect place to be and this was the perfect house for our large group! We had a blast and the house was amazing!
