This was a great get-a-way vrbo for my friends and myself. Highlights were cleanliness, number of beds and baths, communication with the owner, and the beautiful setting on Shoal Creek/Wilson Lake. My friends and I found many places in the area to visit, shop at, and eat at when we were not enjoying the deck around the house or the dock on the lake.

Fantastic Mom/Daughter Getaway

We were a group of 5 teen daughters and 5 moms wanting a peaceful but fun weekend trip together, and this lake house was perfect! The girls shared the loft (everyone had their own bed!), and the moms had plenty of space among the other bedrooms. The lake was lovely. We loved the fire pit area and all the other great places for conversation (especially the separate screened-in porch with fan). The kitchen is well-stocked. Look no further—this home is great!

This lakeside home is truly a hidden gem. We visited during peak fall foliage and the views were absolutely breathtaking from every angle. Tucked away on a quiet dead-end street with a huge lot full of old-growth trees, it feels like you’ve stepped into a treehouse fairyland.The A-frame itself is stunning—unique, full of character, and beautifully decorated. Every detail fit the vibe perfectly, and the aesthetics were truly on point. We celebrated my husband’s 50th birthday with three other couples and had more than enough room to spread out and feel comfortable.Some of our favorite moments were sipping coffee on the deck each morning, lingering over breakfast at the table, and ending our nights around the fire pit. One night we even caught a meteor streaking across the sky—pure magic.10/10 stay. Would absolutely return!

Holiday Extended Family Gathering

Great property for our group of some grandparents and two adult kids, their spouses, and young adult children. Close to town for items to buy and things to do. Walk down to lake is steep, but very doable. Would recommend to anyone looking for a get away location for a few days, and would definitely try to stay here again if we were trying to gather in this area again.

Great views of water, nice fire pit and enjoyed the separate kitchens and living spaces.

Really enjoyed the house. Was little disappointed there was no dock since that was one reason we wanted on water but views were great. Enjoyed fire pit and lots of room for our group. There are 3 levels to this so lots of stairs but we didn’t mind. Very quiet street and lots of trees so you felt secluded, which we loved. Thanks !

Lake getaway

We really enjoyed our stay. We were one of the first to stay once it went live and was aware that the dock wasn't accessible - having that available would highly improve the stay. The setup is nice and allows two family's plenty of room. Contact and response from owner/management was very quick which is always nice in case you do run into any issues. We would definitely stay there again if we ever have to visit that area again. We were there for my son's National Fishing tournament at Lake Pickwick & Lake Wilson. I highly recommend 365 grille for a nice dinner spot- wonderful dinner, drinks and views.

Cozy home with plenty of room to spread out and beautiful views

Rental process was super easy -property manager was pleasant to communicate with the -home was beautiful, views were amazing -I absolutely loved the area -1 queen bed was uncomfortable -king bed needs flipped bc you roll in and that makes for lots of waking up in the middle of the night 😂 -Rest of beds were comfortable -kitchen needs to be stocked there were no measuring spoons minimal cook-wear blender doesn’t work (we are a cook food at home kind of family) -cleaning crew did bare minimal (property manager did do her best to make up for it) We would absolutely rent again if the housekeeper made more of an effort to clean the home -over all we enjoyed the home and enjoyed our family get away

Fantastic Property & Lovely Views

This property is in a quiet, secluded spot just outside Florence and the Shoals area and is situated right on Shoals Creek. The views of the water and forest are spectacular. The house is a spacious delight and even features two full kitchens. There is ample space for a family looking for a quiet, private place to relax away from the city.
