About this property
Secluded Home on Canal 1 Mile to Beach
This raised home is located on 0.6 acres on a quiet, dead end street and offers two floors of living space up above. The property backs up to a canal, where you can fish from the shore or enjoy the view of from the back deck. The front deck has it's own peaceful treelined view. Located about 1 mile from the beach and 3 miles from local restaurants.
This peaceful home has everything you need for a fun and relaxing stay. Under the home is a half bath, elevator, comfortable patio furniture, small refrigerator, bar area (no sink), porch swing, foos ball table and Pop A Shot. Storage cabinets house a few fishing poles, a cooler, sand toys, 4 beach chairs, 2 beach umbrellas & a beach blanket for you to use during your stay. There are 2 adult kayaks & life jackets, and 2 child kayaks & life jackets that can be used in the canal. All this and still room to park under the house if you choose!
Up above on the main floor of the house is an open living room, dining room & kitchen, and master suite with king bed, full bath, and washer & dryer. The 2nd floor features two more bedrooms each with a queen bed, and a full bathroom. All three bedrooms have ceiling fans, and their own remote controlled mini split heating/cooling system. There is a chair & desk in one of the upstairs bedrooms.
There is a 50" TV in the living room, a 40" TV in the master bedroom, and a 32" TV in one of the upstairs bedrooms where you can log into your own streaming services. *There is no cable TV or local TV access*. Under the living room TV are a few games and books.
The kitchen is stocked with the basics you need to cook up a quick meal, including blender, toaster, drip coffee pot, Keurig, and tea kettle.
Large decks on both the front and back of the house are the ideal spots to sit and enjoy the birds while drinking your morning coffee. There is a grill located on the back deck. Since the home is elevated, every window offers a great view. Mild swaying of the home may be felt on windy days but is normal.
This home also features an elevator that runs from the ground up to the main floor of the house. **The elevator can cause serious harm if used improperly. ** Use at your own risk.** Always supervise children and ensure the gates are closed.**
There is an EV charger located on the detached garage. It is a J1772, also known as a J Plug or Type 1 Connector. It is a 40 amp level 2 charger.
Directly behind the home is a canal that runs into Bay St. Louis. Feel free to fish and see what you can catch! The home also has a small private dock and gazebo with gas firepit and adirondak chairs right on the canal.
*The canal experiences changes in water depth depending on the time of year and rainfall, therefore we cannot guarantee that you will be able to fish or kayak during your stay. It tends to be much shallower during the winter months, but has also flooded into the backyard during heavy rainfall. Swimming is not advisable.
We also cannot guarantee the safety of the gazebo, dock, or elevator. You may use them at your own risk. Never leave children alone unsupervised.
Snapping turtles and alligators live in this region of Mississippi. There is a small chance you may run into one. Do not feed them or leave food out for them.

About the host
Hosted by Samantha

I have lived in Oregon most of my life and enjoy traveling with my husband and three daughters whenever we have the chance. I've been hosting for 5 years, and love giving other families & friends a comfortable, inviting place to connect with one another, relax, and enjoy their surroundings. My hope is that everyone I host feels at home here. When we're not traveling, we're probably at a basketball, volleyball, or soccer tournament, or hanging out with our dog, Tucker, and two cats, Olive and Bob.
Why they chose this property
My husband and I have recently discovered the Gulf Coast, and have fallen in love with the people and beauty of Pass Christian. We treasure memories of our time in the Pass, and look forward to making many more!
What makes this property unique
This particular home stood out to us because of it's location. While close to the beach and other attractions, the house itself is secluded and allows a peaceful place to retreat to, relax, and reconnect with family and friends.
