Welcome to our cute and cozy cabin in the woods! Centrally located on the Kenai Peninsula, this is a great basecamp for incredible nearby fishing in the Kenai River and numerous lakes, awesome coastal trails, vistas of Redoubt Volcano and bear viewing trips.
Created to be a cozy cabin to relax inside or enjoy the outdoors with a personal patio and firepit, we hope our cabin feels like your home base for adventure as you explore Alaska’s natural playground!
As travelers ourselves, we created this space to comfy, intuitive and easy on the eyes! With many windows and natural light, as well as curtains for privacy (and darkness from the midnight sun), our space is bright and cheerful. We chose Alaskan and Kenai oriented decorations to celebrate our beautiful location. We have a full size bed and a futon, a table (that can be used as an end table or dining room table), and small kitchen to help cook up delicious meals.
The grounds have shared picnic tables, grill, hammock and yard space to help keep the good-outdoor-times rolling when you return for the evening!

The place is small but we very much enjoyed it. Enjoyed walking in the neighborhood, close to activities, and had a visit from a momma moose and her baby.

Super cute and clean cabin with everything you could need including a little stovetop. Excellent outdoor space to hang out and just relax. Plan on coming back and staying longer next time to truly enjoy it!
We loved our stay in this beautiful cabin. Just what we were looking for and very comfortable. We loved the fire pit outside and the beautiful area. Host was very quick to answer all questions we had. Would definitely recommend!!
We wanted a place that wasn't a hotel to use as home base when we came down for a triathlon. This was perfect. It felt remote, but was accessible. Nice and quiet. Hosts were responsive, price was reasonable.
I came from Anchorage just to get away and this was the perfect spot for that!! Nice and quiet. Dog had plenty of space to run. No barking (he barks at every noise at my house) at random things. Peaceful, serene, amazing!!! Definitely will be back!!!
Cozy little cabin and perfect location for dip netting on the Kenai. Literally 5 minutes from the public boat ramp and we were lucky to score this property during the run. The three of us were comfortable with the space, but a 4th might get a little too cozy since 2 will have to sleep on a futon. The host welcomed our pets with dog treats which was a huge bonus for us. Also, the yard has plenty of room for a boat/trailer if you have one.
If you plan on doing serious cooking, you might bring your own hardware or check with the host to make sure the cabin has everything you'll need. Will definitely book again.

The 2nd bed was a broken futon
The second bed was a broken futon. Didn't realize that it was broken until around 2 am when I folded it down to sleep on it. Didn't stay open flat, had to sleep on is partially folded all. night. No sufficient response from owner when I addressed the issue after my 1 night stay. Do not recommend this place.

Response from VrboOwner on 30 May 2023
This guest let us know about their issue with the futon 5 days after their stay, as well as asked for us to give a full refund (even thought they stayed the night and waited almost a week to let us know they had an issue). They said they would first give us the chance to give them a full refund prior to them leaving a review, which felt like a threat. This does not feel like an accurate review, and we will be contacting VRBO to check into the nature of this situation. We ask you to look at our other reviews for an accurate reflection of people’s experience at our property.
Quiet property! Very easy to find. Had 2 moose wander through while we sat on the front porch of the cabin in the evening. I thought the cabin was very nicely furnished and had everything we might have needed. We’ll stay there again next time we are down there.
