Situated on the waterfront, this recently constructed six-bedroom home — completed in 2021 — blends comfort and luxury with easy access to all the outdoor water sports the Outer Banks has to offer. The home was designed by a globe-trotting couple to share their love of OBX with others, and every detail has been thoughtfully crafted to highlight the area’s unique natural surroundings while providing a place to truly escape from the everyday routine.

With help from renowned designers and architects, the décor takes inspiration from the OBX scenery, with natural materials, contemporary artwork, and a neutral color scheme with sandy hues and rich blues. Each of the six bedrooms has ensuite facilities, an office space, and a private deck, and several of the rooms also feature a wet bar. A variety of sleeping arrangements — including four rooms with king beds, one with two full-size beds and one with a bunk bed — make the home perfect for families, and all beds are outfitted with plush bedding, perfect for sinking in to at the end of a busy day.

Positioned between the Pamlico Sound and the Atlantic Ocean, Soundfront 11 is surrounded by a wild, untamed, almost otherworldly natural landscape. So Soundfront 11 is outfitted with a variety of ways to take in the sun, sky and surf, including a private fiberglass pool with a salt filtration system instead of chlorine, a gas barbque pit, a private hot tub, a fire pit and a sweeping giant deck, complete with a teak picnic table and bean bags made from retired sails. (That’s in addition to the private decks off of every bedroom!)

The easy water access makes the area a haven for surfing, kitesurfing, kayaking and other water sports, and the home is located near REAL Watersports, the area’s premier outfitter, where you can find everything kite and surf-related, including expert instruction, gear rental and their legendary retail shop.

At the end of the day, you’ll want to hang out with family, relax, and share stories from your adventures, so home was crafted with community in mind. The third floor features multiple gathering spaces, including a high-end gourmet kitchen with an island, a dining room complete with a 12-person table, and a spacious and comfortable living room — even a small office space for when real life gets in the way. Every room is outfitted with modern décor, and sweeping natural views providing the ultimate backdrop.
