Great house for multiple families with children. Stayed here with 4 adults and 6 kids aged 7-18. Plenty of room for everyone. The beach is in the backyard so no hauling children and beach stuff across the street. Ice cream and pizza is across the street from the front of the building. Garage will not fit a truck or SUV. Maybe a car though,

Thank you for sharing such positive feedback about your stay and how well the house worked for your group. We are glad the space, beach access, and nearby options were convenient for everyone. We regret that the garage size did not meet your expectations, and we will look into how we describe and present this feature more clearly.

DO NOT Rent this unit from this company!! We received a damage charge after leaving for something we did not do. It's a bit older unit and was clean and affordable. The bathroom sink had a small crack in it that was already there. Again, normal in an older unit so we thought nothing of it. After staying 3 nights, we loaded the dishwasher cleaned up and took the trash out to the dumpster. The next day I received a charge of my credit card for the 500 crack in the sink that was clearly already there. Currently disputing the charge. I'll be happy to take down this review if they do the right thing! I should not have to pay 500 for something someone else did, likely even a long time ago. Wonder how many people they charge for the same crack?

Wonderful stay at The Dory!

We loved this townhouse! It was nice to just walk out of the house and onto the beach. House was clean and comfortable. We had plenty of room for the 5 of us, plus some. Would stay here again!!

Great location

This was a great location steps from the beach and not far from a lot of restaurants and shops. Our favorite part was the private beach that is blocked off just for the residents of this complex. We didn’t have to compete with the condo complex next door for beach space.

Good location on the beach. Dirty towels and wash rags from previous tenants left in bath floor. Bathtubs very dirty. Had to finish their laundry and clean up tubs before use. Great place if only cleaner.

Wonderful

Everything was perfect the only thing I had a complaint about is check out being so early otherwise the location and place were great for our group 😊 one other thing I would suggest is if you have small children bring a baby gate my 1 year old saw the stairs as a personal challenge 😂

Great stay at the Dory

We love staying at the Dory townhouses. Our family had a great time! We loved sitting on all the balconies and playing games down in the screened porch area. It’s a quick easy walk down to the beach. Even though all the townhouses were full you didn’t hear the other people unless you were all outside! slept great with comfortable beds! Be aware that they have limited toiletries( they provide a bar of soap per bathroom and one roll of toilet paper per bathroom with no shampoo, conditioner, etc…)( or a hair dryer) so make sure to bring your own.

Some pluses some minuses

Good location and good view and accessibility of management. The kitchen needs some upgrades to cooking pans and a couple of roaches (bugs) were found in the kitchen area.

Breakfast with the dolphins! Steps to the beach! BEAUTIFUL views!!

This place was exactly as pictured and very clean. We LOVED being directly on the beach. The balconies offered beautiful views including dolphins swimming every morning. We fished from shore and caught pompano and whiting (March 2023). Swiming and shelling were also great. Beds and furniture were comfortable. Big place with plenty of room to spread out and/or come together. It was nice having a washer, dryer, and full kitchen with a dishwasher as well as all the kitchen utensils you'd need. Kids enjoyed having televisions in their rooms even though we didn't use them much. Handy location for other activities as well such as shopping, restaurants, state park, etc. We contacted property manager because on of the doorknobs wasn't working correctly. They responded via text quickly and were also there to fix it within an hour. Very impressed! We will book with Southern again!

Not Great..

Pros- great location, beach wasn’t busy and it was definitely less people in front of the units. The bunk room was nice and newer looking furniture. Had pretty much everything we needed in the kitchen. Nice TVs. The location was good!Cons- arriving to the property, we had problems with the door code not being ready for us and had to call and wait for them to get it. The garage door didn’t work. As soon as we walked into the unit the mildew smell was so strong everywhere. (When we arrived home our clothes acually smelled like it) I’m sure it is bc there is so much carpet and rugs. The couches were in not good condition(I ended up laying sheets on them). The upstairs master bed was terrible. Very hard and sunk in, in the middle. The bathroom up stairs drain was stopped up and drained very slow, it also the drain wouldn’t go down to be able to take a bath. Halfway through our stay the door code stopped working again so we had to go around the building and go through the back. The walls were super thin and we could hear the people next to us pretty good! We ended up leaving a day early. :(Overall we would not stay here again. I don’t think it was worth at all what we paid.

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad to hear you enjoyed the location, beach access, and overall space and amenities in the unit. Upon reviewing your reservation, we see that you contacted our 24/7 Guest Services Team regarding the door code not working. We understand how frustrating it must have been dealing with these issues. However, our records show that you were a few minutes early, and the door code is activated at 4:00pm, which is our standard check-in time. Regarding the concerns you mentioned, such as mildew smell, furniture condition, and other maintenance issues, Had we were made aware our local Operations Team would have been happy to work on resolving any issues you encountered. We truly regret that your stay did not meet your expectations, and we will share your comments with our team for further review. Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we appreciate you taking the time to share it. -Your Southern Team
