About the host
Hosted by Matthew R Steubing

I am originally from Rochester, NY but have lived all over the country. Utah has been my favorite place and I first moved here in 1994 buying this home in 1997. I am an outdoor enthusiast who loves to ski, rock climb, canyoneer, run rivers, hike, mountain bike and generally travel and explore.
Why they chose this property
This home offers many of these activities right out the front door or within a short drive. There are 6 ski areas both EPIC and IKON within 20 minutes and another 4 within just over an hour. You can hike up Grandeur Peak just above the house climbing as much as 3000' to the summit or just 600' to get amazing views of the valley and sunsets. This is a very quiet neighborhood and increasingly one of the most prized areas to own a home in the valley. Everything is close by including downtown Salt Lake City, The University or Utah College and Medical Center, Westminster College, A world class climbing gym, REI and many other shops and restaurants. There is also nearby Millcreek Canyon which quickly get's you into a wilderness setting right behind the neighborhood.
What makes this property unique
A very unique and cozy setting in a great neighborhood. As you drive up to the home from the airport and valley and see the surrounding mountains you will be blown away by the setting and the amazing views of the city and valley below. Sunsets and views are just amazing here and one of the reasons I have stayed so long!! A new Hot Tub installed in December 2022 adds to the overall experience especially after a long day on the slopes. Also a new fireplace adds ambience and warmth.
