Charming Waterfront Cottage: Great summer rental as well as year round!
This charming waterfront cottage is located in the heart of the waterfront area of Freeport, Long Island. We are a short stroll from the vibrant, bustling seaport known as the Freeport Nautical Mile! This is a haven for wonderful restaurants, bars, party and fishing boats as well as various shops to explore. Our cottage has been fully updated with water views throughout. New kitchen appliances featuring a GE gas stove with griddle. L shaped sectional sofa in living room, breakfast bar, and cozy feel to home! Our location is minutes from beautiful Jones & Long Beach as well as 40 minutes from Manhattan by LIRR! Minimum stay is 30 nights. We strive to provide a wonderful stay for our guests and we remain committed to high standards. The question we ask ourselves is: “Would we enjoy staying at this property?” and the answer is a resounding Yes!
Why they chose this property
We bought this property many years ago and have always loved its feel and beautiful location. Since it is a direct waterfront property we committed in 2016 to raise the house to conform with FEMA standards. Thus, a considerable financial investment was made in order to ensure that the cottage was renovated to a high standard yet keep its cozy, original feel. We are close to the Nautical Mile which is a vibrant waterfront area with fishing and casino boats as well as wonderful restaurants. A stroll down this wonderful place is a must!
What makes this property unique
Our property is uniquely situated on a wide canal which offers viewing of swans, ducks and various sea birds. It is fun just to sit back and watch life on the water. Watch as boats return with their fresh catch from the ocean or as watercraft transit this active canal.
