Climb the front steps of a remarkably preserved craftsman period house with its exterior character intact. Inside is a modern space that's been remodeled top to bottom to a high level of quality and style, including a chef's kitchen and formal dining area.

The house is the perfect place for large groups and families wanting plenty of space to spread out, relax and spend time together. Very kid friendly with porta cribs, highchairs, strollers and a baby monitor available for your use.

Great place if you are in town visiting family and friends, attending a wedding, taking in many of the attractions St Louis has to offer, or attending a business function with co-workers.

The house has a well-equipped chef’s kitchen, large dining area with seating for 10, large family room in basement, and fenced-in backyard with patio furniture and gas BBQ gill. The house is well-appointed, cozy, clean and well maintained.

The house has 3 floors and a basement. On the 1st floor is the Entry, Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen and Half Bath. From the Kitchen is the back door leading to the first-floor deck where the gas grill is located and the fenced-in back yard with patio furniture.

On the 2nd floor, there are 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The Master Bedroom with king-size bed has an ensuite Full Master Bathroom. Bedroom #2 with a queen-size bed and Bedroom #3 with a full-size bed share Full Bathroom #2. Off the Master Bedroom Suite is the back door to the second-floor deck.

On the 3rd floor, there are 2 bedrooms and 1 full bathroom. Bedroom #4 with the full-size bed and Bedroom #5 with the king-size bed share Full Bathroom #3.

All the beds are super comfortable with memory foam mattresses.

The basement has the Family Room and Full Bathroom #4. Besides the 2 large couches, there is a lot of room to put blow up mattresses for extra sleeping places. The basement door allows easy access to the back yard.
The basement has a workstation with monitor where you can connect your laptop if you need a place to do some work. The 200 MB WiFi connection provides you internet access to throughout the house. Big screen TVs in the Living Room and Family Room with full cable TV access to quite a few channels including movies and sports.

The house is on a corner, so there is plenty of parking right next to the side of the house. There is also a gate in the fence from the side of the house that allows you direct access to the back yard and back door.

This house is so beautiful and in a nice, quiet, safe neighborhood. Perfect for large families and kids. The house came fully stocked and well equipped for little kids (crib, pack and play, high chairs, strollers, sippy cups). The owner is very friendly and communicated well, making sure we enjoyed our stay. One of my favorite features of the home was the large dining table: perfect for families to gather around. I would definitely recommend this home for your stay in St. Louis as it has everything you need and is conveniently located.

Property is just as listed, very spacious, nicely decorated. So many thoughtful touches throughout the house, we didn't have a need for it, but i thought it was great that there was a stroller at the property in case you forget to bring one. Also, we loved the humongous park right across the street.

Hi, my name is Dave and the owner of this house. My wife Pam and I live in Manchester, MO which is a suberb of St Louis and is 18 miles miles from this house. My wife and I both had computer science degrees. I graduated from Univerisity of Missouri at Rolla, which is now called Missouri University of Science and Technology. Pam graduated from Iowa State Univestify.

We are blessed with a son and daughter, who have made us very proud of their careers and for the 4 grandchildren and counting (2 boys and 2 gilrls).

Even though we are retired, we both keep a very busy life style including hosting this house.

Why they chose this property

After retirement, I decided to rehab houses since I have always been a do-it-yourselfer including rehabbing my son and daughter's as-is houses. It's a far cry from designing computer software, but much less stressful and very rewarding,

My beautiful 5BR/4.5BA craftsman style home has been renovated from top to bottom by myself and St. Louis’ most talented craftsmen using only the finest materials and finishes. My goal was to restore the house to replicate the style of the house when it was built in 1910 but make the home more comfortable by adding modern conveniences.

What makes this property unique

What caught my eye when I looked to buy the house was the historic neighborhood and that it was directly across the street from the internationally acclaimed Tower Grove Park. The house is within 5 miles of the major attractions in St Louis, which convinced me this would be the perfect location for visitors coming to St Louis.

I am happy for the opportunity to make my house your home away from home.
