Location and suite was great. Layout worked well.
Sure enough, the gym downstairs is loud as hell. Every morning at 6 am the pumping bass from the tunes they were blasting would start. By 6:30 am the dropping of kettlebells, weights would crash loudly. This would repeat at 7 am and then at 8 am.
I can sleep through a lot as I live on a major street and in the summer leave the windows open but when this suite combined the gym noise wwith the ineffectual blinds on the windows which gave privacy but cut out next to no light, I was up every morning by 6:30.
As far as cleanliness, the attention to detail was lacking when it came to the floors. Lots of black hair on the socks and feet including a gathering of the same where the floor, wall and tub met. It's pretty gross to wake up in the morning and pull back the sheets and see that you tracked in a bunch of hair.
On top of all this, our first night we received a text message at 8:15 pm asking us to provide access to the suite between 8:30 - 9:30 am the following morning for a fire equipment inspection. This falls into the "not my damned problem" category. Worse yet, 9:45 am rolls around the following morning and they still haven't showed to do the inspection and I get a knock at the door from someone working for the building manager who requests access if we aren't there some time later that day when they show up.
Considering the price of this unit compared to others, I would recommend staying elsewhere.
