We had a great stay at the Beach Breeze cottage in Frankfort. You can’t beat the location which is steps from Main Street and the beach. Communication leading up to the stay was easy and the cottage was exactly what we were expecting.

Proof once more that all kinds of family reunions are successful at The Beach Breeze Cottage--large, small, and really really small! Your little family is welcome back, Tim!
Short walk to the Frankfort pier and beach. Property manager makes the check in process easy and very helpful with any questions or concerns you may have. We loved staying there!
We enjoyed our stay tremendously! Everything is in walking or biking distance. We enjoyed mornings and evenings on the beach. Memories were made

A wonerful home close to the water.
Our whole family had a great time. Enjoyed walking to the beach, and when the fog rolled in for most of one day it was an amazing sight and experience for us all.

Plenty of space for our group of 6 adults. Loved the top deck and the proximity to everything. Host was very responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay again!

An amazing house in the perfect location in the best little beach town in Michigan. Clean, well stocked, just steps from the beach and great downtown. My family and I wanted to come back as soon as we left.

Excellent location and charming property
Our group thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Beach Breeze Cottage. We had plenty of room and loved the upstairs patio which we used for a group yoga session. The location is perfect and easy to walk to the beach and town. Kathy was an excellent communicator and easy to work with. We would highly recommend!

I'm delighted that your girl's weekend turned out well. We had never thought of our deck as being a location for yoga--but what a terrific use! Come back again!
Wonderful place to stay. We highly recommend it. Awesome location. A 5 minute walk to watch gorgeous sunsets. Love the bike trail. We rented both units. Beautiful deck upstairs.
We were in the area for the Sleeping Bear Dunes marathon. We had plenty of room in the house for sleeping and hanging out to play games and talk. Kathleen was an excellent communicator and made sure we had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend this home.

Thanks for appreciating our wonderful old house. Come back again!
Wonderful property, fantastic location, perfect host. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Loved all the thoughtful touches—such a cute place, super clean everything, great beds. It’s the whole package. Grateful for the hospitality! Oh, and the deck was the best part! We brought our own cafe-style lights (we always bring them!) and sat and caught up with friends and family from out of town. Loved it!

Tara, we're delighted that you love our house as much as we do! We're excited to host you again.
The historic house proved perfect for our group with two young kids along with other visiting adults. Our family of 4 slept on the first floor unit, which could hold more if needed or if more adults were there. Our guests stayed in the upstairs unit, but the first floor hosted all the meals etc. The owners had many attention to details, such as preparation for nighttime electronic charging, night lights, and mirrors in the rooms for our ladies who valued them. We sat on the spacious porch each night and enjoyed very much.
Location was a quick walk to the beach or town, and enjoyable for all.

Erik, we are delighted that you enjoyed your stay and that you appreciated our attention to detail. You're welcome back anytime!
You can’t beat the location! Super close to the beach and downtown. We had both parts of the house, which worked out so well for us, as we had a couple of people who were visiting from a later time zone, which allowed them to go to bed later and sleep in later than the majority of our group. We found the main kitchen to be very well-suited to our making our own meals. There were also fans in every room; ceiling fans, and well as smaller, oscillating fans. Bringing our own linens was tricky, as before checkout, we tried getting everything washed and dried before we left; and it meant bringing SO MUCH stuff with us. But I understand why they did it this way, and it worked out just fine. Kathy was super helpful and nice throughout our stay. We even locked ourselves out on the very first day, and she helped us get back in quickly. The house is pretty close to the neighbors, so if you have a rowdy or loud group (like 7 women who haven’t spent time together in many years), you’ll want to be mindful of moving everyone inside

Wow! Such a comprehensive review! Thank you, Sarah. I knew our house would work out for you and I guess it did!
The separateness of the two upstairs bedrooms works well for family groups, but I had never considered it for a Time Warp. It can be its own little world up there while still including folks in the downstairs reunion.
You ladies are welcome back anytime!
The house was lovely, immaculately clean, and so well appointed. Kathleen was extremely helpful as we had a last minute need to be in the Frankfort area. Our family appreciated the layout of the home as some needed to work remotely requiring privacy. The location of the neighborhood was relaxing and welcoming, This was an unexpected gem that we plan to return to soon. If you're fortunate enough to find availability at this outstanding property, grab that reservation!
This property was perfect for our family vacation. My family of 4, my brother’s family of 5, and our 2 parents all loved it. We all had our own space and the house was equipped with everything we needed. We LOVED how short the walk was to the beach. We could hear the waves from the porch. We cooked out and ate dinner on the upper deck. From the house we went up to Pierce Stocking Drive and on our way home we did Mac Dune Rides. It was a perfect trip at a cute cottage home.

The home is spotless, hosts have many thoughtful touches throughout. And, Frankfort beach is great for families and people with disabilities - there is a wide sidewalk all the way down to the water with park benches all along. The Lake Michigan sunsets were stunning!

About the host
Hosted by Kathleen Campbell
Kathy is a retired school librarian and Bob is an architect who is still actively designing outstanding homes. This house is his favorite project! Every year we upgrade or add something. Because we love to travel, we understand the kinds of amenities our tenants appreciate.
Why they chose this property
Being life-long Michiganders, it was our dream to have our own place on Lake Michigan. When we found this house available in 2005, we couldn't believe our luck. Although it needed lots and lots of work, we've persevered and transformed it into the perfect place to stay. It's just a few steps from the beach, but it's in an outstanding little town where you can walk to the restaurants, brewery, library, post office and grocery store. It's also close to Sleeping Bear Dunes, one of the most notable National Park locations in the country.
What makes this property unique
The house is a flat, with a downstairs and an upstairs. Each has its own separate entrance, living room, bathroom and kitchen, as well as a porch or deck. A young family can stay downstairs, and grandpa and grandma can have their own adult space upstairs. Vacation with your family and still be talking to them at the end of the week!
