About the host

Host profile image
When you stay here, you're not just getting a place to rest — you're getting a bit of living history. I love sharing stories with guests about life in the early 1900s, the kind of history that's been passed down and entrusted to me over the years. I take that trust seriously; I hold on to what's shared with me and always respect others' privacy. But most importantly, your privacy comes first — I'm here to share a story if you'd like one, and just as happy to let you enjoy your stay in peace.

Why they chose this property

I chose this spot in Reva for the same reasons I think you'll fall in love with it. It's tucked away in the quiet beauty of the Blue Ridge foothills, far enough from the noise of the city to feel like a true escape, but close enough to everything — hiking trails, wineries, breweries, and fine dining — that you're never more than 20 minutes from adventure. Being part of a horse farm brings a peaceful, unhurried rhythm to daily life here that's hard to find anywhere else. This is the kind of place I wanted to share with guests: a little slice of countryside where you can slow down and truly unwind.

What makes this property unique

This isn't a mass-produced rental — it's a true labor of love. The host handcrafted this cabin from the ground up, personally felling the trees and planing the lumber that make up its walls and floors. That same care carries through in every corner of the space, creating a warmth you simply can't manufacture. Add to that curious, gentle horses that wander close enough to greet, and a good-natured farm dog always up for company, and you get an authentic, hands-on connection to the land that's genuinely rare to find in a rental.
