Welcome to Chez Plaisance! (House of Plaisance)

Offered as a three-bedroom, one & 1/2-bath bayou-side destination. There is one bedroom and one bathroom, with bathtub and shower downstairs. This bedroom has a double bed. Upstairs there are two bedrooms and a half bath. Each of these rooms has a daybed with a trundle, allowing beds for two in each room. A covered double carport is available. Also, a screened patio offers outdoor space for gathering. A small Bar-B-Q grill is provided for outdoor use. This is a place positioned for enjoyment. The only thing missing is you. A great vacation is all about location, location, location. You won't find a more perfect spot
to spend your quiet time as you explore and access the Heart of the Cajun Coast.

Great property. Perfect for the holidays and gathering. Our dog had ample space to run around. The place was clean and Eric was extremely nice and communicative. This will be our primary place to stay when visiting family.

Everything was nice ! The backyard was very peaceful ! Only 1 minor issue was the listing stated bunk beds and they were actually trundle beds. Would stay there again

Our stay at Chez Plaisance

Absolutely loved our stay at Chez Plaisance, the view was out of this world. This home has so much to offer ! A beautiful waterfront view, well equipped kitchen, and spotless cleanliness. The host went above and beyond at communicating with us and made the necessary arrangement for our stay. We will definitely be back ! Highly recommend !

Family Reunion

I rented this property for its closeness to my mothers as she is very ill and requested that her 5 children come for thanksgiving. The outside area was perfect for getting together as my mother’s house did not have the room for dinners. All my siblings stated that the Vrbo was an idea they had never thought of but it was perfect

Bayou Trip

The property was very dated and in need of repairs. The wooden floors were in very bad condition, loose planks, big gaps would not walk on barefoot. Kitchen cabinets needed fixing and paint, we washed all the dishes before we used them. Bathroom toilet bowl and tank were both cracked and epoxied, but did work, shower had mold were wall met tub. The yard was great for the dog and enjoyed the back screened in porch, great view of river. It also had a covered carport attached to house which was great for the motorcycles. The location was horrible, it was 50 ft from Rt 90 and 100 ft from active train rail. You get alot of traffic noise and a 6:30 am train complete with very loud horn. Neighbor also had 3 loud yappy dogs, that seem to always be outside when we were. Would not recommend this property.

Host not available. House has dirty and broken furniture

We did not have the access code to get in. Took the host 3 hours to back to us with it. The furniture was broken. Recliners had to be literally kicked to stay down. Table between the two recliners had broken leg. outside fireplace furniture broke. Sat on a Chair in the dining room and it literally broke out from under us. House cupboards and trim dirty. Called the host after the chair broke and he did not respond to our calls. We left on the 20th after that happened. Have not had any response from the host at all. Asked for a refund and he said it was us to VRBO. I have pictures of this if needed. Would not recommend this to anyone Location was good. Fenced in back yard was great.

Joel, Unfortunately I was sick for several days which I explained to you as we spoke about prior to you showing up, but to address the cleanliness—- Guest showed up and complained about everything. There was minor dust on the baseboards in one room which I had someone show up within 2 hours to clean and then Joel broke an antique chair by sitting on it as well as broke the side arm rest on a reclining chair and claimed it was the owner’s fault. This home is loved by many.

Horrific, vacation ruined

Upon arrival, couldn't get in property, key got stuck in door and had to wait awhile to get help, had to solicit help from neighbors. The lock was not able to be used. Patio covered w/ spiders and webs. Oven was broken. Refrigerator wasn't cooling. Property wasn't as originally listed, one bedroom with King size bed and bunks was locked and unavailable, and was needed to accommodate us. After contacting Host, bedroom was unlocked not cleaned nor sanitized, beds were not changed and bathroom wasn't cleaned either. This should have been cleaned especially now with COVID. My experience was horrible. Also originally listed a discount, once interest was expressed, discount immediately removed.

Frederica, I have had multiple people stay before and after you and have had little to no complaints. The issue with the door and oven has been resolved upon your departure and as far as the refrigerator, there was no issue at all before or after you left.

Amazing stay

This house was absolutely awesome. It felt just like home away from home. It absolutely lacked in nothing. It was so quite sitting on the back and drinking coffee every morning and even at night. We will absolutely be back for sure.
