Venetian Shores Home

Wonderful Keys home built and cared for by the same family since 1988. Located near MM 86, 2 hours from Miami, 2 hours from Key West, and a 10 min boat ride from the BEST sandy bottom sandbar in the Keys, the world-famous ISLAMORADA SANDBAR (Whale Harbor Channel). Truly a FISHERMAN'S DREAM, offering quick and easy access to WORLD CLASS FISHING on the BAY-SIDE (Tarpon, Snook, Redfish) or OCEAN-SIDE (Grouper, Yellowtail, Mahi, Tuna), EXTRA WIDE/deep/clear canal, and a marina with bait/fuel and boat rentals on the way out. Founders park offers a convenient ramp to launch and it's a 20-minute boat ride from the marina to our dock ($20 in + $20 out). If you're more of a land lover, there are plenty of bars and restaurants just minutes away to enjoy the sunset with a cocktail in hand.

Guest will have the entire 2nd floor (4bed/2bath as pictured), 30' of the dock with fish cleaning station and parking for 2 cars & 1 boat trailer. I'm Ed, my wife, Annette, is the granddaughter of the original owners, Mario and Gloria, that built this home in the 80's. Five of their grandchildren rotate use of the first floor, as a result, anyone who is downstairs is family and has a vested interest in your stay being great! We all live in a little less than 2 hours away in the Hialeah/Miami Lakes area.

Why they chose this property

This lot was selected because of its proximity to a major channel (Snake Creek) and the width of the channel behind the property that is double the usual. The old folks really enjoyed this place and many memories have been made here over the last 30+ years.

What makes this property unique

As stated above:
Centraly located between Miami and Key West. Wide and deep canal makes it easy to dock your boat. Snake Creek provides instant access to the bay or ocean without the need to travel long distances by boat. Just 10 minutes to the best sand bar in the Keys. Fuel, bait and boat rentals by the bridge. Plenty of bars and restaurants that are accessible by boat as well. 4 "real" bedrooms and 2 full baths gives everyone their space. Screened porch allows you to enjoy a million stars and keeps the bugs out. 30 feet of dock space with new aluminum/rubber bumpers and fish cleaning table. Parking for 2 cars and 1 boat trailer.
