Horribly Under Appointed for Price
We were very disappointed with the condition of this rental. My family has used VRBO and other rental services dozens of times and have never seen a rental this poor. Truly this was like a trick house - everything we touched seem to not work or was in run-down condition. And we paid A LOT more than comparables. On the plus side, the neighborhood is adorable and exterior of home is great. The owner listened to our complaints and even responded by dropping things off (pots, clean(ish) towels, more silverware) but there were SO MANY ISSUES that even this kindness didn’t end up fixing much :(
•hVAC: vents are partially covered by crown molding, which especially affects the upstairs which stays very hot despite running the air and closing the downstairs vents. We ran fans all night and were still too warm. AC shut off multiple times.
•Kitchen: totally ill-equipped. No salt/oil. Barely enough silverware. Faucet spout drops down into sink. Owner had to bring extra pots/pans.
•House is filled with cheap rugs with no pads. We slipped all over the place. Seriously.
•Laundry room light is out. No detergent or anything for people to use.
•Wi-Fi went down multiple times. We finally gave up.
• Almost all furniture is cheap and run-down. The owner replied saying that it was ‘all new’ and she ‘had receipts’. Literally not possible.
I would have been ok (minus the AC and Wi-Fi) if we hadn’t paid a CRAZY HIGH PRICE!! But this was very expensive and should be well appointed.
