I can’t stop gushing about this wonderful property. The house was spotless with ample space—room enough for all of us, and then some. The water access is beautiful, and while there wasn’t a formal path through the woods, impromptu, secluded hikes were a highlight. We especially appreciated having a genuinely usable kitchen; it was obvious the home is well cared for and not just an exaggerated hotel room.Booking guided winery, brewery, and distillery tours was incredibly easy and made for a great day out, topped off by sharing tasting notes once we got back "home." For the truly adventurous, both a winery and a distillery are about two miles away—though reaching them requires walking straight uphill through the woods, making the trek back a bit less advisable!

Very rustic house with a lot of what appeared to be make-shift add ons. Driveway needs a lot of work. Access to lake is very difficult. View is mostly obscured by trees. Would not consider this a lake front property.

Thank you for your feedback. Every group looks for something a little different in a getaway, so we want future guests to know exactly what to expect. Lake Forest Lodge is a rustic log cabin on three wooded acres on the hillside above Keuka Lake. The driveway is steep, as is common on the Keuka hillsides, and our private lake frontage and dock are just across the road, reached by a shared driveway and about 50 steps. We describe this in our listing, and every guest acknowledges it in our rental agreement before arrival, so it's best suited to groups comfortable with this information. As many of our past guests have shared, the reward is a secluded setting and your own private dock on Keuka Lake. We're sorry it wasn't the right fit for your group and appreciate you sharing your experience.

Overall our 2 night stay was very comfortable. Our group consisted of 3 couples and 2 singles. Loved the extra large game (dining) table. Living room furniture layout and all the outdoor seating. We especially enjoyed the skee ball table and scoring. Plenty of towels, kitchen washcloths hand towels and paper towels, trash bags. The basic necessities were much appreciated. Bedroom layout and beds were comfortable and as described giving us all a quite place to sleep. The annual grape festival brought us to the area.

The house is fully stocked with everything you may need. We spent a ton of time on the porch/deck areas. The fire pit area is by the side of the driveway and could use some replacing of the pit ring. The driveway was at a scary incline but after going in and out a few times you get used to it. But saying that if you plan to use the dock at the bottom it’s easiest to drive your car down. We did not have any issues with the house there was plenty of room for 2 families of 4. It was a great place to unwind after long days at the lake. We also rented a boat for a few days and had no issues docking at the dock at the bottom.

Pros: night lighting, quiet, W&D, high ceilings, water pressure, beautiful deck.Cons: at first everything inerior seemed clean, but dont look behind or under anything. Spiderwebs and dust. Towels smelled musty, Stained carpets and rugsStained bed pillowsUgly tub and shower caulking. We replaced shower curtain. Broken table leg in loft Broken lamp in LR, Only 2 of 5 drawers worked in the basement dresser. 1 of 2 coffee makers did not work Deck and deck furniture looked like they hadn't been cleaned all summer. Campfire site needs weedwacker. Slippery loose stone on steep driveway. AC was uncontrollable - set to 75, but it ran to 69. One trashbag for a 2 week stay.

The house is amazing laid out very nicely for two families, multiple bathrooms made it perfect for getting ready to go out, the deck is huge, played cornhole, cooked and hung out and not felt cramped, very clean house, no issues, wifi was great, would recommend, and hope to stay there again next year.

Perfect girls getaway

Great views and great people!

The views from the deck are amazing and two days out of the week there were rainbows across the lake. It was a very relaxing visit and the towns people are friendly and helpful in pointing you in the right directions for your needs. Would absolutely recommend this rental to anyone that needs a getaway.
