About this property
The Garden Oasis on the National Forest
Welcome to my home! Just renovated, super clean, in a quiet neighborhood 240' from the Sugarloaf trailhead, we invite you for serenity and renewal. Created by an artist (moi) and full of original art, this is a home of beauty. Enjoy the views while relaxing on the sofa, listening to the sound of running water, or book a massage with our neighbor Jacob. We offer easy trail access, fast internet, a complete kitchen, tea / coffee, a laundry area, guide books, free parking.. and peace and beauty....
However the best (and my favorite) part of the property is the 3 level terrace.... Or of course, hiking around Sugarloaf first thing in the morning. You'll be pretty much in the Natl Forest staying here. Check it out!
This is a house of healing, full of light. There are lovely outdoor sitting areas, a place to lock your bike, and lots of flowers and greenery. Roll out the door and head 240' up the street to access the National Forest and miles and miles of hiking trails. Watch the sunset from the side of Sugarloaf, and catch Sedona's amazing star show (we're a dark skies (light free) zone.
There is a separate studio on on the side of the house where Theresa lives. The 2 units are completely separate, but please be aware that there is some noise overlap between the 2 spaces.
This is a special neighborhood. A highly respected Sedona massage therapist, Jacob Massey, lives across the street. Celeste, who does Myofascia release and works on a number of famous athletes based in the PHX area lives around the corner. Both are available for private sessions; if interested, let me know, I'll send you their contact info.
There's plenty of free parking in the carport and in front of the house. As to getting around the neighborhood it's best to walk as it's all of 3 blocks.
We purposely do not have a TV. It's about you time, not distractions.
PLEASE NOTE: Vrbo's algorithm has decided there is space for 4 people to sleep in the bedroom (which I unfortunately can't change). The house sleeps 4 but not in the bedroom. There is a fold down sofa couch (full), in the living room, and a twin tri-fold mattress that can go anywhere.

Lovely home in a quiet area, right next to some beautiful red rock mountains. We had a great time sitting outside watching all of the birds in the area!

Thanks so much for staying with us!
Yes, the birds LOVE the fruit trees, in the back yard and around the neighborhood... (it keeps them around even though the peaches and apricots haven't fruited yet.)
It was very clean and comfortable. We loved the location in reference to everything we had planned to do. Peggy was very easy to contact and responded to us quickly.
The location was in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to the downtown and to many hikes (including one that was up the block from the home). The home had a comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen and nicely decorated living area.
Our host was so kind, clear with the instructions and responsive which made the process from start to end smooth. The property was clean, had a lot of accommodations for if it was cooler or warmer weather. It had nice outdoor seating to enjoy our coffee and breakfast with a view, listen to the birds and watch the squirrels and lizards. Sugar loaf mountain trailhead is a short walk down the street so it was a great area for close proximity to both red rock hiking and restaurants. We kept commenting on how quiet it was outdoors, very peaceful and made our anniversary awesome. We'll be saving info for another stay someday.

Aw... I'm so happy you had a great anniversary celebration at my house.
It really means something to me when people get the vibe of my sweet neighborhood and home.
The home was charming and delightful, in a well-established neighborhood. Peaceful and well appointed. Shower with excellent water pressure (this is a pain point for me!) and a comfy bed. Thank you for a lovely stay.
We loved the location. It was a darling house so close to the sugarloaf trail and super easy access to all the Sedona sights. All the amenities we needed were provided.
The location of this property is wonderful. It is a block from the trailhead. It is clean and has a lovely area outside to sit.The negative for us was the fact that we could hear the neighbor in the apartment next door walking, closing the door, getting up in the morning. It seemed like there should be more soundproofing. That being said it was similar to being in a lower condo and hearing the people above you. It might not bother others.Peggy was a kind host.

Hey Judy,
I'm so sorry you were disturbed...
Yes, sound overlap is a reality, which is why I spell it clearly out in the description. For various reasons (including legal) it's just not possible to do more soundproofing of the 2 separate units.
Thanks so much for staying with us; I'm happy you otherwise enjoyed my home and Sedona!
Everything was good. The rental was nice and clean. the only thing that was a little uncomfortable was the unit that was connected to the rental. The person in there was so noticeable we felt like there wasn’t any privacy. the only thing that separated us was a cloth doorway..

I'm so sorry about the disturbance!
Thats not a cloth doorway though, it's a double layer sound barrier covered with cloth, up against the original door thats been barricaded. (We can't legally build a wall).
I would love to know exactly what it was that disturbed you though, so I can explain to the person who lives in that unit. (She doesn't want to disturb and if you can tell me I can pass it on.)
Thanks

Hello! I am an artist, meditator, workshop instructor and graphic designer ...and an active, outdoor person, who bikes everywhere, eats healthy, grows my own veggies, hikes, climbs, etc. A professional artist, I paint and teach both drawing and painting, and I love to create. Most everything in and around the Garden Oasis I've made. My house is an ongoing art project and love affair. I hope you enjoy staying here as much as I enjoyed creating it!
Sedona is so very beautiful and so powerful. A walk out back in the canyon changes my world in a moment. Time stops – the beauty and majesty of the red rocks leave me in silence and awe. I hope while staying in my home you are also enveloped in this silence and enchanted beauty. "Life is a mystery to be lived, not a problem to be solved."
Why they chose this property
My home has a meditators energy, and we work hard to maintain the silent and peace of the house ...and this magic is palatable when you walk in. It is very clean, relax to the sound of running water from the water feature. Located in a very quiet neighborhood off the main streets, with almost no through traffic it has a old style neighborhood charm. The national forest is just up the street, yet downtown West Sedona; major supermarkets, (Safeway, Basha's, Natural Grocers, Whole Foods, etc. health food and restaurants are within a 5 minute drive or 15-20 minute walk.. We offer a full kitchen, for easy meal preparation with a 5 stage reverse osmosis water filter. Essentially, this is a place to find healing and a space to get away from it all.
What makes this property unique
Love, Silence, Peace Miles and miles of trails start at the top of the street in the National Forest Dark skies, stars horizon to horizon Gardens Massage therapist on site and available to be booked in advance Water filter Washer / Dryer Full kitchen Outdoor sitting areas
