We appreciate you being great guests and your comments. To clarify, we purchased one firm and one medium mattress for the front room thereby giving guests a choice of sleeping accommodations. Thank you again for being a great guests! We appreciated having you stay with us and that you took great care of our place! To update you we did find out that the refrigerator and freezer had been set to the maximum freezing and cooling temperatures… Not by you but probably by a previous guest. This causes the cooling jets in the fridge to freeze up and that’s why it wasn’t cooling properly. We thought it out and have it running great again. Hopefully we’ll see you again one day and we’ll make sure everything is up and running for your visit. Cheers!

Thank you for your comments. Yes, we do not provide fuel for the fireplace, fire pit, or either grill. The amenities are for every guest and we cannot monitor how much or how often they use these amenities. To be fair, we ask our guests to provide these fuels according to their needs. This way we don't have to have extra fees for amenities that may or may not be utilized. i.e. every guest may not be interested in grilling or sitting by the fire pit. We do not limit your use of these amenities because you are responsible for the fuel. At Hidden Trails Retreat there are many, many amenities which you may not find in other vacation rentals. We try to provide everything that is reasonably needed for your stay as a convenience. Many of our guests have barbecued, sat by the fire, and made s'mores on the fire pit. If you love these activities, all we ask is that you check ahead of time for fuel so that your plans are not ruined. Note: we do disclose this ahead of time on the platform so there should be no surprises. We appreciate you being great guests and hope that the misunderstanding doesn't damper your enthusiasm for Hidden Trails Retreat.

We are glad that you had a great day and hope to see you again soon! A quick note… We do have sharp knives. The knife block of Henkel knives on the counter next to the toaster are very sharp. The ones you used were faberwear, and we replaced those with the Henkels… but we kept them under the counter for backup! We are happy to offer almost any amenity you can imagine and we even supply a knife sharpener that is easy to use in one of our drawers of utensils. We hope you’ll look forward to coming up and trying some chef skills in our kitchen again but with sharper knives next time! Thank you so much for staying and thank you for your review!
