We had a great stay in a great house. The host was great and was there for us if we had questions. We had elk in the front yard both mornings, and the extras were well thought out by the host.

10! Great cul-de-sac location, comfortable, so well stocked with everything you could want, dog-friendly, kid-friendly. Inside wonderfully decorated with something for everyone. Outside front porch my favorite spot, backyard multiple seating areas all were used for eating or quiet time. Host was great! Overall great rental! Will be back!

Amenities were awesome! The kitchen is full stocked.The fridge even had a Hot Sauce section. Shower was large and stocked as well. Backyard doggie friendly and very decorative. Neighborhood quiet with lots of birds. Neighbors were very friendly. Dog park was right down the road in walking distance. Easy access to all the stores, restaurants, etc from property.

Me and my wife loved the location of this property it was close to hiking trails and the city. The property was very clean and organized. Nice fenced in area for our dog.

Great Place for Work and Relaxing

My husband and I were in town visiting my mom who lives nearby. We needed a place where we could do some work and relax when we weren't visiting with family. This place fit the bill and more! Everything was lovely and the welcome basket a special treat! We will definitely stay again when in the area.

This place is spectacular!

We absolutely loved our stay here. Very beautiful house and yard. They have so much to offer for adults and kids. Fully stocked with more than you could ever need. We enjoyed just looking around at all the books and Knick knacks. The hosts were so generous and accommodating. Can’t wait to come back. Thank you Jon and Sharon.

Nice Place

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The house is clean and updated. The backyard is special, especially at night with all the lights on. There are many amenities at this property with all the comforts of home. The owner was very helpful and answered our questions and calls within minutes. I would stay here again if the opportunity arises.

Summer getaway

This property was located very conveniently to shopping, parks. Lovely neighborhood. We would go again but in a little cooler weather. Our pups really had fun checking out the fence, safe yard.

Peaceful Dog Friendly Place

We wanted a nice little getaway from the heat of Sun City, AZ & we were not disappointed. This was our first VRBO & we got spoiled. They had a little welcome basket & some waters & fudge in the fridge when we arrived. They had all the condiments & spices you could ever ask for & even supplied plenty of coffee as well. We loved sitting out on the front porch & loved the gate to enclose our dog as well. It was in such a peaceful location. We really enjoyed our time there. The Hosts just thought of everything.

3rd Time's a Charm

This is our third stay at Hidden Trails Retreat, so we obviously enjoy staying here. The property is very clean. The hosts provide lots of people/puppy snacks and bottled of water. We enjoyed having morning coffee in the beautiful backyard. The house is very close to Rumsey Park that offers a wonderful place to hike and other recreation. My wife got to see a javelina on one of her walks.

Wow! You won’t be disappointed! Perfect family getaway spot!!!

This place was beyond perfect! The little details were over the top! We loved absolutely everything about this home! Pet friendly….backyard heaven!!! Loved the backyard gas fire pit! In door wood burning fireplace 🔥 Games galore! Spacious! Room for the whole family! Would love to do a thanksgiving dinner here! Thanks for sharing this gem!!!

Great place to stay

These hosts thought of everything. The house had more than most vacation rentals. Toiletries, coffee, spices, etc. I have never stayed at a place that provided these items. Very clean! I also appreciated the food basket and dog bags. It was very thoughtful. I would definitely stay here again.

Relaxing Getaway

The Hidden Trails Retreat is very comfortable and quite! We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend your place! The hosts are so generous with the amenities provided! Wonderful Stay

Sprobabky our best vacation rental rental. Such a cute, beautiful little home. The backyard is like a magical little fairy land. The hosts were very good about communication and although I didn't need to contact them about anything I'm sure they would have been very responsive. My kids loved the little scavenger hunt and all the activities around the house that were provided. All the little extras really made our stay great. Even had a nice little doggie treat bag for a dog.

Escape the heat!

If you want to escape the summer heat, this is a great rental for families with children or dogs. Lots of games for kids, including paint for rock art! The welcome basket, bottled water, and fudge were unexpected but greatly appreciated. The rental is well supplied, including dog necessities and children's dishes. The communications from the hosts were clear and complete, including notifying us the morning of our departure of a road closure that impacted our return drive.

Wonderful place to stay

This may be the best place we have stayed in. We LOVED it! When we arrived, our niece was thrilled to go on an Easter egg hunt around the house. What a sweet touch. The owner also left us fresh picked grapefruit to squeeze for juice. There was an amazing gift basket with a huge variety of goodies ... even awesome treats for the pups. The house was clean, cozy, and nicely decorated. We loved that the master had a door to the outside yard, making it easy to let the dogs out early in the morning. It is in a very quiet, beautiful neighborhood with easy access to town. We were able to contact the owner, Jon, and he got back to us immediately. We will definitely be staying here again.

Perfect mountain getaway

We love this property!! This is our third time this year and we plan on coming up again possibly for two more times. The owner is so easy to work with and so accommodating. The house has all these added touches that make it so comfy. You can tell a lot of love goes into this rental. It was our first Easter since our grandson passed away. My daughter lives in strawberry and made a turkey dinner with all the trimmings and brought it over. Our two twin granddaughters live in Payson and came over. It was a wonderful Easter celebration!! There are so many games that will keep you entertained in bad weather like we had. Thank you Jon and Sharon! The welcome basket is a nice touch.

The fully fenced yard was the main feature we were looking for. There were lots of things to explore in the back yard for our dog. First time traveling with her and house /property worked out perfectly for us. A 9 x 13 baking pan would be a good addition to kitchen. Everything functioned and it was nice to have garage access for the car Jon was super responsive to our questions. Great new coded entry system. Thanks for having us!

The property was very inviting. Our stay was short but sweet. Very cozy and clean. We loved the unique touch of a snack basket. Internet worked wonderfully for us to work a little away from the office with a great connection. The rock painting was a very nice touch that I’m sure many families would have so much fun doing. There were many small touches that didn’t fit our needs, but were thoughtful and creative to add joy to many others stay! This rental would fit anyone’s Payson get away! Best part for us was the cool weather and the backyard lighting and ambiance.

Payson is the largest city with the best access to all parts of the Mogollon Rim which is known to some as a mini Grand Canyon for its beauty in nature. Our house provides unique access to the back country as well as every amenity in Payson. The physical house is set up to be perfect for entertaining and comfortable and relaxing. We have tried to provide every single amenity so that you do not have to waste any time shopping for anything but food. (and maybe propane) Our back yard is private and completely fenced so that you may enjoy your time with your family, kids of all ages, and your furry friends.
