Overall a great little cabin in an ideal spot. Just a few mins from town but feels very remote and is nice and quiet. Great outdoor areas to enjoy nice weather and the sauna was a great way to start the days off!

How fantastic, this fall has been amazing with the colors. Every week they just get better. But now we are almost ready for our first snow and I'm starting to think about skiing and hot chocolate. I hope that you visit again!
Property was beautiful and the location was great. The property manager is responsive and courteous. The sauna is nice but wished it had lights in there for night time use. Overall a good and relaxing experience.

Thank you so much for the kind review! I’m so glad you enjoyed the property, the location, and had a relaxing stay. I really appreciate the note about the sauna — it turns out the light bulb had burned out, but it’s been replaced now, so it’s all set for a cozy evening glow next time.
It was a pleasure hosting you, and you’re always welcome back for another peaceful getaway!
Everything was just wonderful! Cabin was clean, well stocked with supplies. Peaceful location! Great escape for a long weekend! Will definitely be back!

Terrific stay at this cabin conveniently located near Belleayre for a ski trip. Plenty of room for 2 & everything we needed was provided. Especially enjoyed the wood burning stove & wine barrel sauna. Highly recommend & looking forward to returning!

Thank you for your nice review! The wood burning stove makes it so cozy when it's cold outside. I'm glad you had a good time and hope that you visit again!
Great cabin for a ski basecamp. Wood stove and sauna kept us nice and warm. It's on a beautiful secluded forest road, but the road was plowed fairly regularly (it was dumping snow while we were there). The only thing I would suggest is that a bunk bed in the small bedroom would have been a huge improvement... we came with two kids and one had to sleep on the fold out futon, so we couldn't use the kitchen or living room after bedtime. We're definitely going to be back next time we ski Belleayre!

Thank you for the great review. I’m glad the cabin worked well as a ski basecamp and that the wood stove and sauna helped keep everyone warm after a day on the mountain. The road crews do a great job keeping that forest road maintained during snowstorms.
I appreciate the suggestion about the bunk bed as well. The sleeping arrangements are listed in the description so guests can plan what works best for their group, but feedback like this is always helpful to consider for the future. I made sure to give the owners your suggestions.
I’m happy to hear you’re planning to return, and I’d be glad to host you again for your next trip to Belleayre Mountain Ski Center.
Spent 2 nights at the cabin had an amazing time everything was very clean and welcoming. Great communication with the host and a beautiful property. Highly recommend

Thank you for your review. We do try to provide one bundle of firewood but sometimes the delivery does not coincide with the stay. Fortunately firewood is minutes away at the nearby grocery store and gas stations. The sauna, however, WAS working. I tried it yesterday according to the provided directions and it started heating up right away. I'm not sure what the issue was that you were having, I did try to help by sending pictures and links to the Harvia sauna website. There are 2 dials, the one on the left should be set to MAX and the one on the right turn past the second 1 (there are 2) and then back to the first 1. Within a few minutes you can hear the ticking of the heater. I'm so sorry you had trouble with it. For future reference I did take a video of how I turned it on.
Delicious secluded cabin in the heart of nature, with deer, chipmunks & a hummingbird. Great base for exploring east or north, but really looked forward to returning in the evening. Really sad to leave.

Thank you for your great review and I'm so happy that you had a nice time! You would also love it in the fall with the colorful leaves, or in the winter when everything is covered in snow!! I look forward to hosting you again.
We had a relaxing trip here to get away from the city for my partner's birthday. The location was private and quite like what we were looking for. The house itself was so cozy and we loved the sauna! Perfect for cold winter nights. The only thing to improve is the wifi was a little slow, but there were plenty of board games that kept us entertained.

Thank you so much for your lovely review!! I'm so happy that you enjoyed your time here and look forward to hosting you again!
Me and my husband enjoyed the cabin and my 83 yr old mom enjoyed her privacy in the shack. Both are very comfortable with nice amenities. The kitchen's in both were laid out well. We had what we needed to cook and with the shack's full size refrigerator and the cabins small one, it worked out just fine.
The town is very friendly with great hiking areas and shopping nearby.
It would have been nice if the management company was easier to work with, but that didn't deter from our stay.

Thanks for taking the time to write a review, I'm glad that you enjoyed your stay. The cabin has everything you need if you don't want to leave but if you do, the area has so many fun things to do! I'm a bit disappointed at the last comment so I went through our communication to see if there was something I missed. Prior and during the stay you had a number of questions that I answered in a timely and what was intended to be a helpful manner. I confirmed the internet speed, sent you the requested information on hikes and farmers markets, re-confirmed all of the check in information that had been sent to you but you didn't see, helped you understand how to use the sauna and thanked you for all your feedback. Unfortunately there were some things I couldn't answer or help you with like the strength of Verizon in the area since I use T Mobile. And I wasn't able to offer the early check in that you wanted. Unfortunately summer is busy and the cleaners do not always have flexibility in their schedule to allow for changes in arrival and departure times. I use a mix or auto messages to make sure that important information is received, like arrival details. But my co-host and I always respond to any communication with personal messages answering things to the best of our ability. Regardless, any feedback is an opportunity to grow so I will keep your words in mind!
We stayed here with our 2 young kids. Its a cozy little cabin. We wanted peace and quiet and it was a great place for that. Cabin had everything we were looking for.
Had fun playing ping pong and board games. There are some good hikes nearby.
Bugs in the backyard can be annoying but that's expected in an area like this one.
Owner was very prompt in responding to our questions.

Thanks for your nice review, I'm happy that you enjoyed your time here! We recently installed a tetherball game as well and have corn hole too! Bugs can be annoying but unfortunately it's part of country life. It's just where they live. But for the most part they will leave you alone if you leave them alone. I hope that you visit again.
My wife and I spent four relaxing days. The property is located in a secluded area with very little traffic and is a good place to unwind and enjoy nature.
The house is clean with comfortable beds and central a/c that we definitely needed. The outdoor patio and fire pit are awesome as well as the ping-pong table and other lawn games.
The property is a short drive to a grocery store, pharmacy and restaurants. We tried to hike some of the many trails located in the area, several within a thirty minute drive.
I would definitely recommend this vacation rental.

That's fantastic, I'm so happy that you had a nice time! I love how the home is set up for fun, you really don't have to leave if you don't want to. But if you do, as you mentioned, the town of Margaretville is only a few minutes away. It's extremely convenient in the summer but in the winter it's perfect since the ski centers are close! I hope that you visit again.
I wanted to go on a midweek excursion with my mom to somewhere we had never been before, and our trip to the bluestone cabin absolutely fit the bill! The house is gorgeous and fit our needs perfectly. We were able to enjoy the natural beauty of the Catskills while enjoying coffee on the sweet rocking chairs on the front porch, as well as identifying stars from our cozy chairs on the back deck. We had everything we needed inside the cabin, and whenever we had any needs or questions, Kim was polite, kind, and responsive. And the sauna was a very cool bonus! We loved our stay here and would love to return in the future.

Thank you for your nice review, I'm sure it will be very helpful for future guests. It is such a cozy, tucked away home. The privacy, the nature... no sounds except the birds and peepers at night. I'm glad that you had a nice time and hope that you visit again!
