Gaulding Cay Beach Dream Paradise

Newly renovated upscale beach cottage situated right on the gorgeous and secluded Bahama Time Gaulding Cay beach. 3 Bedroom, 2 Bath, Full Kitchen, Screened Porches, and super fast WIFI.
The gorgeous waterfront property includes the beach, dune, and the yard behind, with the house situated 50 steps behind the dune. Additional full-sized bed and a twin bed in the back room can be used as extra space. Partial-shade chairs permanently anchored in the sand. Nice at any time, but particularly with morning coffee or watching the sunset with cocktails. Deck straddling the dune; it's a nice place to set up the lounge chairs. The kayaks and paddle boards are stored underneath, making them handy for a quick paddle.
The beach itself is one of the finest on an island of great beaches, with beautiful white sand flats and the picturesque cay just offshore. When you type in 'Gaulding Cay Beach' on VRBO you find pages of rentals, but as our headline reads, only 3 rentals actually front Gaulding Cay Beach.
We never discourage anyone from exploring Eleuthera, particularly first-time visitors, but if your intent is to stay put, relax on the beach, and enjoy protected waters, you can't do better than Bahama Time.

Lovely place on Gaulding Cay

We so enjoyed the stay at Bahama Time. We will definitely return. The beach, house, and more importantly the people of Eleuthera make this a wonderful vacation spot.

FANTASTIC TIME at Bahama Time

The cottage on the beach was perfect. It wasn't fancy, by any means, but was comfortable and we had every convenience we could have wanted. Fantastic place if you want to get away and do nothing.

Picture perfect Caribbean beach

Gorgeous Gaulding cay with your own deck on the beach, perfect newly renovated cottage - 3 bedrooms, kayaks, paddle boards, good snorkeling at the small island right out front, minutes to Glass Window, The Cove, Queens baths and Daddy joes. Pema was a great concierge and can arrange anything for you.

A wonderful time was had by all!

The house was great, complete with a terrific porch and amazing privacy. And snorkeling off Gaulding Cay was terrific! And Wallace was a Prince in giving support to settle in. We were able to walk to many things--dinner at Daddy Joe's and the Queen's Bath.

Hidden gem

This property was an excellent choice for our family. We were able to relax, find plenty of adventure and activity for teenagers to enjoy, and take in beautiful sunsets each evening. A true hidden gem. Complete with fresh coconuts daily. Perfect way to ring in the new year!

Dream Home - on one of the best beaches in Eleuthera

We had a memory we will never forget staying here. A beautiful home with a beautiful big yard right on Gaulding Cay Beach. In our experience traveling up and down the island we think it’s one of the best beaches on Eleuthera. They had everything, water play toys in a storage right on the beach, Beautiful big porch with nette windows around it for evening hangs without mosquitoes. Close to so many good attractions. Queens Bath right around the corner. Highly recommended!

Vacation Paradise

My husband, dogs and I just got back from staying at Bahama Time. The whole vacation was amazing! This was our first time in Eleuthera and planned on exploring much of the island, but found ourselves staying at the house because of the beautiful location and beach. Chungo and Gembo we amazing, if we needed anything they promptly made it happen. I can't say enough about this property. We were sad to leave. Hopefully we can come back soon!

Gorgeous beach - almost to your self

Quaint cottage with new furnishings and renovations on gorgeous Gaulding Cay. Sunsets on the beach, a shaded deck with loungers and palm trees with a view of it all, snorkel around the island right out front or kayak in the glass bottom kayak and see the fish right from the boat. Service was attentive and just a text away. Daddy Jo's is a short walk, the Cove is close by for fine dining, can kayak to Glass bridge and short drive to Harbour Island

Easy and peaceful place

The place is great and wouldn't change a thing. Wallace was very helpful with any questions and switching between water supplies. It's a great spot to explore from and super easy to go visit the Atlantic side to Queen's Bath for a very different atmosphere. All the appliances and cookware needed to cook anything... all good quality too. I wish we could go back!

INCREDIBLE

We LOVED our stay at Bahama Time. Could not ask for a better location -- right on Gaulding Cay. This was our second time back to Eleuthera and knew we wanted to be as close to Gaulding as possible and wow - were we in for a treat. The property is gorgeous - the house is beautiful and spacious. They had paddleboards and kayaks and masks to use. The snorkeling at the little island right off the beach is amazing - swam with a sea turtle. and you are a short drive to Gregory Town and not to mention a favorite spot - Daddy Joes. We will be back -- hopefully soon!

Great location, beautiful beach, and comfortable home. Large book collection.

We loved the property and location. The beach is amazing. We spend a large amount of time exploring the island when visiting Eleuthera. The ability to walk across the back yard to a beutiful Carribean beach was a great feature of this home. We cooked great meals in the kitchen, enjoyed coffee and breakfast on the screened porch, and swam and snorkled directly behind the house. Fishing off the rocks on the Atlantic side was productive and exciting. The owner was responsive and the house was clean and accurately represented. We would happily return!

Incredible Place!!

If you want to relax and unwind there is no better place than Bahama Time. The house is exactly as described. Wallace, the caretaker is very responsive and helpful. We rented a car from him as well. The screened in porch is great since the mosquitoes come out full force at sundown. The kitchen has everything that you need. Great beach chairs. Kayaks and paddle boards were nice to have as well. I can't say enough good tings about the house and how easy to deal with the owners were. I highly recommend it.

Pink sand

Great week at Bahama TIme. The house was well thought out and well supplied. So nice to have shard knives and some All Clad cookware. We rented a car for the week from the caretaker , Wallace, which was easy. So cool to have paddle boards, kayaks and snorkeling gear included. WiFi worked well for the Bahamas though went down occasionally. We were even able to stream Netflix at night. You could tell this house was a true home to the owners with great pictures , lots of books and just had a great feel to it. And the beach.. Wow. Pink sand like walking on sugar,great shelling, and swimming in crystal clear water. This was our fourth trip to Eleuthera. You do need a car but are rewarded by phenomenal beaches, good local restaurants and as a flyfisherman nice DIY flats to wade for bonefishing. Burchies near N.Eleuthera airport is a good grocery store for the Bahamas and only 20 minutes from the house but a trip to the Island Farm just south of Govenors Harbor is a must for local veges and on Tuesday and Friday awesome fresh bread We certainly shall return. Fantastic place and time

We ended up extending our stay and adding 2 extra nights because we just couldn't bare leaving this place. The location was great, steps away from the calm turquoise beach and having the Atlantic ocean in the opposite direction is in itself a great place to be. Complete seclusion and relaxation, not much going on except a good book and a gorgeous beach. I was a bit worried about not having a television for the week but it was exactly what I needed. We have been to Eleuthera numerous times, we stayed in Harbour Island a few times, Whale Point and Gregory Town. We just fell in love with this location. Two perfect size bedrooms with each their own bathroom. An awesome screened in porch where we usually ate lunch and had a nap between constant beach visits. The home was well equipped overall, laundry room, good stereo system, board games and a huge awesome book collection. The kitchen has everything you need and the decor is very Bahamian in style with nice bright colors. It has that bright cozy relaxed vibe that we are particular fond of. Having 2 paddle boards is a real bonus. I enjoyed that the owner had a ton of different suntan lotions, beach towels and sun hats to choose from. Being back home for a few days, we are having serious withdrawals and are dreaming of the day we will be returning to this exact spot. We miss sleeping in that breezy bedroom and soaking up the ocean air.

Gaulding Cay is AMAZING!!!

You can stop looking for a rental property! Bahama Time is the one!!! I can't say enough about the beautiful beach at Gaulding Cay. The water color is what you dream about and the sand is amazing. The beach in front of Bahama Time is perfect, not rocky, shallow for a bit and clear as I have ever seen. My family snorkled every day around the little cay and my kids even jumped off. We kayaked and paddle boarded right outside the house with a little cave and fun things to see. The house was very clean and provided everything you need in a rental. They even had hats, bags, games, rafts and sunscreen for anyone to use. It felt like a home! The caretaker Wallace was great. He picked us up at the ferry we took over from Nassau, got us our rental car and even checked on us to make sure we were comfortable. A huge plus that seems minor is he brought us a huge jug of water. I also loved the location of Bahama Time. It is very close to the airport, Glass Window Bridge, Spanish Wells, Harbour Island, Queen's Bath, the Sapphire Blue Hole and our favorite restaurant we found, the Glass Window Bar and Grill. The owner's of Bahama Time, Mike and Susan were also very responsive. They provided me also sorts of local information and answered all my questions in great detail. Thanks Mike and Susan for sharing your home. My kids got to imagine what it would be like to grow up there for a few days : )

A much needed break!!

Let me take you for a short journey. After a hectic run through Miami airport we arrived. We were met by Wallace (the resident ask Jeeves and or google for the island) at the airport. After a short ride and a intro to the island, we arrived at a driveway lined with Bahamian pines and a light rustic sand road. At the end of the driveway there’s a small hill and then your senses get overwhelmed with the beautiful beach house, sweet smells of the foliage, and the view of your beach. We walk inside the house and you can immediately tell this was a well planned and utilized house. The living room and kitchen were open. Plenty of space to cook, play some of the games supplied in the house or grab a book from the plethora of books in their library. Bedrooms were off of the kitchen and living room. They were clean, spacious and comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and the showers were extremely clean and large walk-in style. Once you take that all in you walk into the giant screened in porch that you could play catch in. A short walk through the soft grass and your in your own private beach. The sand was soft, water clean, and that part of the beach was the best and most well maintained. I had no worries letting my young daughter/part mermaid in the bay by herself. The beach was quiet, with no one on them. There’s two or three other houses, but we saw two people the entire time we were there. Bring snorkel gear or use theirs because the island in the bay has amazing fish and sandollars. The house was centrally located for the glass window bridge, queens bath and Gregory town. Everyone in the town was extremely friendly. Plenty of shops. Find Pete for some great fish! Between the house and Wallace, there was nothing for us to worry about. There is an option for gets rental car through Wallace which we took advantage of. We had no worries about anything the entire time we were there. Our only complaint was that we only stayed for 5 days. We’ll be back here for sure. The owners took pride in this house and are easy to get ahold of if there are any issues. I’m just counting the days I can take my family back.

Shhhhhhh.....

Wow, this was an amazing trip for our family of 4, and I truly can say, this was one of our favorites due to the accommodations, hospitality, location, and the overall beauty of the property. The house was immaculate and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed for our stay of three weeks. While on the island, there was problems with a lack of water/electricity. The villa has a generator and personal water system, which was huge for us.The beds/mattresses are extremely comfortable and our family of 4 slept great every night. I will say that they are low platform beds, so that may be a problem for some, but was not for us. The hospitality.... wow! Pema was our host and he is wonderful! Every morning, on the back patio the cooler was full of ice for the beach, fresh-cut coconuts to drink (cold), and multiple fresh mangos to eat. He came by most afternoons to see if we needed anything for the house (TP, paper towels, water, fresh sheets), or just to say "hi." Pema was a major highlight of the property. Thank you, Pema! The property, in my opinion, has the best beach location with Gaulding Cay in your backyard. The villa has everything needed to snorkel and explore the cay. We saw some beautiful stingrays! Also, clear bottom canoes and paddle boards were there for us, which my kids enjoyed and used daily. Bahama Time is a treasure that did not disappoint and we hope to visit again.

Sweet home

The house was very clean, the beach was beautiful. The only small issue we had was that the house was lacking a few basics which were not easy to get and would have been nice if they were there... salt & pepper, laundry soap... most of the the water equipment was not maintained so it was not useable. I hate to complain about anything because the house was perfect in most all other ways but those few things would make a large difference when someone is spending this amount of money per night.

Wolfs in sheep’s clothing !!

The location beautiful, the so called manager and owner became wolfs in sheep’s clothing and attempted to blame me and my documented service animal for their evil ways. They will never lay their heads down with clear consciousness again or treat me like that ever ! As a 55 year old human living with medical conditions I am lost for words for these vampires. Without customers there is no Business ever !!!

Bahama time vacation

This is absolutely beautiful. The best beach for snorkeling,swimming, saw many beautiful fish, even saw a turtle. The most beautiful water color I’ve ever seen. I can’t wait to go back. Everyone was helpful and nice. Thanks for letting us enjoy your paradise.
