Very nice property, very suitable for bikers as well with ample garage space for several bikes. We grilled every night on a very nice BBQ grill provided as well. We have booked for another vacation later in the year !!!
Grandmas house is the perfect place to stay on your trip to Mount Rushmore and all the attractions in the area. Prime location. The house was perfect and comfortable. I did have issues with checking in but that was not the fault of the host or the place. The host was very attentive and made sure we were comfortable. We will definitely stay there again on our return trip.
We had a delightful stay at Grandma's House in the Woods. The check-in and check-out process was smooth. The home was clean and comfortable. The owner replied quickly to any questions that we had and had a repair person on the property the same day to fix one small problem with the internet connection. She contacted me about one item I left at the home, and made arrangements to mail it to me. We enjoyed the amenities and the location was lovely outside of town in the ponderosa pine forest. Would highly recommend to other guests considering a stay.
Loved staying here! The property was beautiful and we liked spending the nights out on the porch. The kitchen and bathrooms were very well stocked and had everything we needed! We would definitely stay here again!
This is our second time staying at Grandma’s. It’s a great location just a short distance from town. All the amenities are as advertised and Vicki is a very responsive host. We can’t wait to go back!
Fantastic location. Great location for sightseeing and privacy. We enjoyed walking the dogs in the wooded area. Very comfortable and the hostess, Vicky, was great. She went above and beyond. Thank you for having us and sharing your Mother’s home with us.
What a great house in the woods! The rental was clean, well stocked with everything we needed for a week, quiet, secluded. We enjoyed our stay immensely! Our host communicated promptly and pleasantly. The owner stopped with a loaf of fresh baked sourdough bread! Loved everything about our stay!
We had a great time staying at Grandma's Cabin. It is centrally located to so many beautiful sites in Custer, SD. It was clean, and had everything we needed. Vicki, the host, was so sweet and attentive. My only complaint was that we didn't know the second bathroom was in the garage.
Very accommodating. Loved the pourch area, very relaxing. Loved the big washer and dryer. Vicki & Taylor are so sweet, and ready to help. We would definitely stay there again.
Enjoyed our stay at this great location. Easy access to Custer State Park, Crazy Horse and Mt Rushmore. Loved the town of Custer. Would have liked the 2nd bath to be in house vs garage but it was a very nice bathroom. Well stocked kitchen. Nice parking area. Would stay here again.
Beautiful location. Hosts were very responsive and friendly to work with. I’d definitely stay here again when in Custer area.

About the host
Hosted by Vicki Grey
This is my folk's retirement home, Custer being where most of my mom's family relocated to from Gregory about 1947.
Why they chose this property
Mom and Dad moved here from Southern California to be closer to mom's relatives. She came from a family of 13. I'm an only child, but I had 53 cousins to visit and play with every summer here in the Black Hills.
What makes this property unique
Dad loved the property because it backs up to the local golf course, mom loved it because it feels like the country, but is close to town.
