Wonderful stay in a perfect CO cabin. It was comfortable, clean, and well-stocked. Great location, and our dog loved the dog run. The chickens and fresh eggs were a nice bonus. Thanks again for a great stay!
Great place to stay while in Lake City. Close to the Alpine Loop and town. The owner, Dan was easy to get in touch with and very kind. Let us get the eggs each day from the chicken coop that is out back.
Great place to stay with family.
We stayed here so we could climb Handies Peak. Dan was an excellent host and the cabin had everything we needed. It’s just a short drive outside of town in a quiet neighborhood. It was fun feeding the chickens and gathering fresh eggs. Thanks Dan!
This cabin was perfectly situated to ride in the San Juan mountains an the Alpine Loop. It was also very close to town for groceries, restaurants, and entertainment. The river and lake are close by for fishing which we were able to enjoy a trout dinner one evening. Great place.
This cabin was perfect for us. We stayed in the room with a queen size bed downstairs and the two 17 year olds stayed upstairs, which had a king size bed. There’s a large bathroom and a small half bath downstairs. Direct tv and a kitchen with all the supplies you need. It was quiet and secluded, located just outside of town and right before the turn off for Lake San Cristobal.
Thank you Dan for allowing us to stay at your place. Enjoyed every bit of it. Super nice going out in t he mornings and gathering fresh eggs. My son hit the river every morning and evening for some trout fishing. Had a great dinner one night with the fresh trout!! Close to riding trails and going into town. Made our mind up already we will be back to the cabin. Thanks again!! Janet
Dan is a great host, Thankful for his communication! The home is within a mile of Lake Citys downtown. Perfect to jump on trails with your toys, go fishing, sit by the river, or head to town to shop, eat, and stroll. Neighbors were very nice. 4 of us adults and one child under 2 stayed comfortably. Queen bed downstairs, king bed upstairs with a twin mattress off to the side. 1 full bath and 1 half bath, both downstairs. The half bath is small, toilet and sink only, a larger person may be uncomfortable. Bringing a little one on the move- bring baby gates as it is a 2 story. Stairs off the front porch are a bit steep as well. It was well stocked with clean bath towels, dishes, and all appliances you need to cook, clean, or do laundry, etc. There are tvs in both bedrooms and in living area with minimal channels. No Wi-Fi. For heat there is a pellet stove that wasn’t working however, there is a Rinnai next to that which put off plenty of heat. The coldest areas were the full bath and bedroom downstairs. Full bath does have a small space heater to use and those that stayed downstairs said it warmed up just fine in the bedroom. Remember heat rises. Round about driveway fyi. You can walk to the river but through an empty lot. Dan will let you know where. Know that since Dan has chickens he let us know he’d stop by every other day to tend to them. Just an fyi if having an owner or someone there during your stay bothers you. We never got the pleasure to meet him.
