About this property

House by the sea with magnificent views in Georgeville, NS, Canada

Our house is newly built and was completed in April 2018. It is located directly on the sea, the private beach is within a few minutes walk. From all windows you can see the sea. The deck is fully covered and offers a priceless view of the ocean and the magnificent sunsets. We have decorated our house in bright colors, with many cozy corners and seating. The kitchen is fully equipped, also there are WiFi, air conditioning, TV, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer in the house.
The small university town Antigonish, with the well-known St. Francis Xavier University, just 20 minutes drive away, has everything for your daily needs, as well as cozy restaurants and small shops.
Many hiking trails are nearby as well as small fishing ports and local museums. Visit the beautiful 'Cape George' lighthouse with its picnic areas and stunning views across Northumberland Strait to Cape Breton and Prince Edward Island.
Cape Breton is easily accessible via the Canso Causeway, which is about 45 minutes away by car.
The many hiking trails along the spectacular coastline, whale watching and wildlife viewing are just a few highlights of the many excursion options.

The cottage was spotless and very comfortable. We loved the kitchen and large kitchen table where we were able to decorate cookies which were wedding favors for our daughter's special day in Arisaig. Thank you very much for a great week.

Beautiful relaxing cottage

This home offered us an amazing place to relax after we moved our daughter into residence at St FX. It has everything you could possibly require to cook some of your own meals, enjoy the surrounding scenery and get a good nights sleep with the most comfortable linens and beds. The sunsets were amazing along with the rolling sounds of the ocean! We will be back again!

Seaside seclusion

Our family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this tranquil cottage, overlooking the water. My mother sisters and I had a very nice 4 night stay at this lovely home. We enjoyed the relaxing view and the efficient layout. The driveway down to property was more steep and rugged than we had imagined. Our rental car was an SUV which was helpful.

Wonderful place with amazing views. The house was well laid out though the shower was in the basement so difficult for my father-in-law and his walker. Fortunately there is a bathroom on the main floor. We loved waiting and watching for the sunset every night.

Such a well appointed home that had so many thoughtful touches and everything one could possibly need for the week. Family Retreat

Beautiful location for a restful family retreat. Lots of space and the view is just incredible. Very clean and comfortable. I've never seen so many fireflies at night. Also saw bald eagles and a whale and dolphins from the back porch. It's quite a slope to the waterfront, so anyone with mobility issues will find it challenging. Lots of great exploring around the area. Hope to get back here some day!

Pictures do not do justice. The house is beautiful and the view cannot be beat. The bed was comfortable and the place spotless. My only concern was the long rocky, steep driveway. Access to the beach was a little difficult due to erosion. A younger person wouldn't have a problem. Overall, a great place to stay. Thank you for your hospitality!

In a word, "great"

My wife and I reside in a rural, private setting, so when we travel, we seek the same in our accommodation, preferring a vacation that allows us to play "frenetic tourist" when we choose, but gives us the ability to relax in peace otherwise. This made Ullie's cottage one of the best stays we have experienced in our lifetime. With no other buildings in sight, and only the Northumberland Strait and local wildlife around us, the location met our holiday wants and needs perfectly. The nearby beach might be considered a little too rugged by some, but, with the exception of one day, we had it to ourselves, and the water temperature (early August) was ideal. Relatively new construction, the cottage is ultra clean and well-appointed. The design inside and out gives the cottage a true seaside vibe. We would return without question.

Vacation Bliss

If you are looking for a place to get away from it all to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature, this is the place. It is a newly built home that is very private and on the water front. The home includes all that you could need. It is very comfortable. The owners have equipped it with all that you could need. There is also a local care taker that can provide any assistance that might be needed. The view from the deck is splendid and the sunsets over the water can't be described. Wild life is abundant as well. It included deer, fox, rabbits, and a young black bear. The location provides a peaceful and quiet setting, but if sight seeing is on your list there is plenty within reasonable travel distance to see and do. A number of dining options are a 20 minute drive away. Spend a little time here and you will leave relaxed and rejuvenated I highly recommend this as a vacation destination .

Perfect

Just spent 11 nights starting early September. My wife and I were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary and wanted a private cottage on the water. After looking at multiple options throughout Nova Scotia and P.E.I we finally decided this was the one. It was the best decision we could have made. Everything was perfect!! Number one priority was privacy and seclusion and it was just that. Words cannot describe how perfect it was to sit out on the deck overlooking the ocean while watching the most amazing sunsets we've ever seen. We took daily drives to Antigonish which is about 20 minutes away. Great little city that offers everything one would need. Great food, hiking trails, beaches, and so much more within a short drive. It truly was a perfect stay and the cottage itself was beautiful, bright and cozy. Thank you so much Ulrike! P.S. for the pizza lovers like myself: The Cabana (5 Min away), Kenny's Pizza (Antigonish) and A1 Pizza Premium (New Glasgow).

Our house is brand new, only completed in April 2018. Our house is decorated in light colours with comfortable seating areas and a roofed in deck overlooking the ocean. From there you can enjoy beautiful sunsets.
The small town of Antigonish with its well-known University, St. Francis Xavier, is only a 20 minute drive away. You find cosy restaurants, little shops and everything for your daily needs right there.
