About this property

Get the best of both worlds at our family-sized, oceanside home in Atlantic Beach, NC. Imagine a sunny morning on the private front porch, enjoying a coffee or breakfast and unobstructed, amazing water views of the Bogue Sound and Morehead City across the water.

Then, with just a quick walk (less than 5 minutes), you are at the ocean and sandy beaches of the Crystal Coast! Attractions, shopping, and much more only minutes away in Atlantic Beach, Beaufort, Morehead City or Emerald Isle (e.g. Fort Macon State Park & beach is about 1.5 miles up the road).

If you bring your dog (or kids!), we have a fenced in back yard with walking path, hammock, back deck with grill and table/chairs/shower, and swing --- plus lots of room for dogs to run or do what they do! The fully fenced in back yard is private (not shared with the adjoining house).

The 3BR house (2 Queen beds, 1 King) with two extra cots sleeps 8 and is located in a quiet, safe neighborhood with sidewalks for biking, skateboarding, walking dogs, running, etc.

The kitchen is well-equipped for all your cooking and laundry needs and has large windows that make you feel like the outside is part of the room - makes cooking much more fun!

All bedrooms have beautiful water views, desks/chairs, mirrors, and contemporary coastal decor. Linens and towels are included for your stay as well as beach chairs, skim boards, sand toys, bocce ball and more!

New bathrooms within the past two years as well as dining and living room. Hard flooring throughout downstairs and carpeted upstairs -- lots of windows in all rooms for great light and views.

The Bogue Sound views from our house on the island of Atlantic Beach change throughout the day with the tides...always beautiful and no houses to block the view! Come to Sound 'n' Surf and enjoy the cozy places inside and outside the house when you aren't out enjoying the beach and Eastern North Carolina coast. And don't hesistate to reach out if we can help with any questions before or during your stay!

Family time

The home was beautiful and numerous items were already supplied such as toilet tissue, paper towels, detergent, beach chairs, etc. The property owner also replied to any questions immediately. Our family enjoyed a wonderful week of relaxation and fun!

We are so excited to be able to share our home, waterfront views and easy beach access with others! My husband and I have two older children and two chihuahuas. We love the area, the people are welcoming, and you can't beat Eastern North Carolina's beautiful Crystal Coast beaches, attractions and other natural resources. Whether hiking a nature trail or visiting the beach to skim board or relax, we are lovers of nature and enjoy spending time outside and with one another.

Why they chose this property

You get the best of both worlds - astonishing, unique and unobstructed waterfront views of Bogue Sound and easy, quick access to the Crystal Coast beaches on the island. Then relax and unwind with the ocean waves at Atlantic Beach, which is just around the corner and a quick walk from the house! Such pretty sand, and the water is usually so very clear. Kind neighbors and lots of activities in and around AB, plus tons of shopping, restaurants and events in Morehead City across the bridge, and on Beaufort's historic Front Street, which is just 10-15 minutes drive away. Dog friendly and family friendly beaches that aren't overcrowded make it a very special place to vacation.

What makes this property unique

- Easy, quick walk to the beach through quiet, safe neighborhood (5 min) and located minutes to local attractions! Water views of the sound all day long; no houses in front, just a long driveway and soothing sounds of palm trees in the wind. We are on the oceanside of the island and we see Bogue Sound and the mainland and Port (really cool ships come in and out) from our Atlantic Beach front porch!
- Windows, windows, and more windows for waterfront views or views of the fenced in backyard with lots of trees and birds.
- Rare to find a big back yard that is fenced in on the island!
- Extra long/wide driveway for boat, camper, or multiple vehicles
- Both back decks give you plenty of seating for grilling, watching the stars, bird watching or just taking in some rays while you wait for everyone to get ready for the beach!
- The main bathroom upstairs has a skylight for natural lighting.
- Master bedroom now features a TV and King sized bed and a view of the ocean from the bedroom window.
- Kitchen is well-equipped for all your cooking and laundry needs and has large windows that make you feel like the outside is part of the room; makes cooking much more fun!
