Loved the open spaces on the main level where we could all eat and hang out together. The view of the lake was wonderful. Nice quiet area. Hosts were helpful finding fun things to do in the area.

We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay. Please visit with us in the future if your back in the area.
Nice cabin, great views, and very close to the lake. The kitchen had most of what we needed during our stay. My only complaint is the drop-off from the road to the driveway is rather steep. Other than that, wonderful property.
My friend and I enjoyed a weekend here. It was very peaceful and secluded. It was dark down by the water so we enjoyed some stargazing away from city lights. We were close enough to go into Eureka Springs for shopping and sight seeing. Would definitely stay here again.
My 80+ year old parents ,my sister and i spent a week. It was very quiet and the house had everything we needed. We spent alot of time on the porch looking at the lake and watching the deer. The location was great. Close to lots of museums and state parks.
This house was perfect for us. The neighbors were great- they even gave us corn to feed the friendly deer feet away from the back door. Great motorcycle parking.
We enjoyed the lake view and open yard. The home had everything we needed. The host was prompt and responsive. The neighborhood was very quiet with most homes used for weekends and holidays I suppose. I like quiet. Thanks for the house.
This property was very clean and had a wonderful porch on a very shaded lot with gorgeous lake view. Allison was a very welcoming and responsive host and made us feel very welcome and attended too. My family would highly recommend this treasure.
My boys went for a fishing trip and stayed in this home. They were very pleased with the house and how well the kitchen was stocked. It was a much needed break for them to relax and this property was a great part of it. Thank you for sharing your home.
Once we checked in we were a little disappointed with the view due to the trees look like from when the picture was taken looked like open frontage to the lake but there really wasn’t much room for my dog to swim due to the wires from the dock and things being in the water. Other than that the location was great for us to be able to go get on friends boat at lost bridge south. The manager was very helpful and communicated things very well. Would stay again

We are glad you enjoyed your stay at Shady Rock 1. I will reevaluate the pictures of the property. The homeowners are not allowed in any way to remove trees trim branches even weed the area beyond their property lines due to Corp of Engineers rules. Shady 1 the Corp line is very close to the deck on the back of the home. Please visit again.
Everything was great. If there were any complications it’s that we couldn’t get a dock for our boat on the property. There was a marina close that worked out.
The location for this property was amazing. The water was high, which limited our ability to use the shoreline. We loved the wraparound porch with the view of the lake. The shaded backyard created a cool location on a very hot day. Access to the Pickleball court was wonderful. There were a couple of items that did not work inside the property. Also, as noted in the property book, the refrigerator takes forever to cool off. If those two things had been fixed before our arrival, it would have been a five star stay.
The location is perfect, the lake is beautiful and clean, the accommodations are comfortable-even if a little dated, and the down time was exactly what was needed. We spent four night here in early August with our four children ages 12-17. Most of our time was spent down at the lakeside or relaxing in the cabin. The A/C worked well and kept us cool through the heat. There was plenty to watch on the TVs downstairs (the upstairs TV only has cable). We would definitely recommend this cabin as a getaway anytime :D
The house is close to water as we wished but can't really walk along the shore. And property is old - downstairs bedroom/bathroom doors don't latch, 1 door is peeling, can't access closet because of nightstand location so no place to hang clothes. That bathroom tub needs recaulking, the towels are thin/cheap, the rugs look shabby. In the living room, it's difficult to pull clothes out of dryer due to closet door. Back porch looks like it has rotting areas or weak areas needing repair. You can’t access a drawer by the dishwasher or one by the stove without opening the dishwasher or stove. This could be a great little place with a small amount of investment.
Communication from pre booking throughout our stay was outstanding. Cabin was decorated in a retro early 80s vibe 😉 and couldn’t have been cleaner. Really enjoyed having my coffee on the rear deck as the sun came up over the lake. Would highly recommend staying here as long as you don’t conflict with the weeks I want to book it.
