A note on ambiance: It is a quiet neighborhood albeit connected to a very busy tourist town. You will hear people, cars, the cannon fire at the fort, church chimes and the occasional trolley in the daytime. This includes the Firestone during their regular hours. *Off street parking is provided for one small to mid sized vehicle. Full sized trucks and SUVs will have to use free public on street parking. PARKING NOTE: There is only one onsite parking available, but ample free street parking. You may have to walk around the corner or down the street to the suite, so if you are not mobile or have multiple vehicles this needs to be considered prior to booking.
Enter through private gate next main house and walk through a shared garden to get to the glass doors (the carriage house). Please park in front of the private blue gate. Other vehicles can park after the stop sign on Locust without yellow curbs.
The Safe Haven House lives behind our Hide-Out property (The main house) and is very private. Originally the carriage house for the property, it was renovated by the previous owners into a painting studio & apartment. One private parking available in front of private gate and free street parking available after stop sign when turning onto property street. Downstairs sitting area with full kitchen and lovely decor. Upstairs is the queen bed with en suite bath: shower and sink are separated from the bedroom by a curtain; the toilet is behind in its own closed room. We love this space for the light and artistic romance of it; one of its most delightful aspects is the access to the outdoors. Step out the back door and you will find yourself in a very serene, very private walled garden. Have your morning coffee on the upstairs deck that overlooks the shared garden or toast and cereal in the private garden with gorgeous angles of sunlight in the early morning. Take a walk a couple blocks east and you are on the intracoastal waterway. Life is cozy and relaxed here. A note on ambiance: It is a quiet neighborhood albeit connected to a very busy tourist town. You will hear people, cars, the cannon fire at the fort, church chimes and the occasional trolley in the daytime. This includes the Firestone during their regular hours. Pet fee $35 (per dog) *Off street parking is provided for one small to mid sized vehicle. Full sized trucks and SUVs will have to use free public on street parking. Walking is best, but you can rent bikes, scooters, three wheelers or grab any of the tourist trollies... all just a few blocks away. Or call a pedi-cab and they will pick you up at the front of the property! Parking Down Town 2.50 per hour, free after 5 pm and Sunday

It was a pleasure having you visit! Thank you for making hosting simple and hope to see you back!
We had a great stay - property was as advertised! Location was perfect, very quick walk to all the attractions. Huyen was always very responsive when we had any questions.
Cute little place to stay. Very close to the historic area, we walked there every day we were staying. It was very cozy and quiet even though it was so close.
Couldn’t be happier with our stay. Everything was perfect.

Good for solo or couples
Location is excellent. The checkout time could be an hour later. Also the people in charge of accommodation and contact could be a little more responsive. Like letting us know how to turn on backyard lights and when they told us they would give us more toilet paper, actually do it. We had to buy our own toilet paper. That could’ve been better.
In walking distance to everything. Nice property for a short stay. Wish there was a TV in the bedroom.

Thanks for joining us during your short stay. We are glad you had a chance to enjoy the convenience of our locations and we are looking to add a Television to that room And other updates! Hope to see you back and happy holidays!
The upstairs bedroom has a nice balcony with table and chairs. Locust is right on San Marco which is a short walk to downtown. I recommend it for a couple looking to experience St Augustine.
This place is small but worked out nicely for me and my partner. It’s in an excellent location, walking distance from everything. Only downside is that there are lots of creepy crawlies that try to get in, this neighborhood is heavy on mosquitoes 😅

Thanks Matt for booking with us! Apologies for the inconvenience of bugs during your stay. Glad to know that it was not in your studio; difficult to control bugs outside especially in the neighborhood but we try our best to keep things cleared on our property. We hope you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you back for your convenient walks!
Nice property, could use a touch up here and there. Location is great, nice and quiet, walking distance to everything. Only complaint is Coffee can in kitchen was empty.
This was a really nice and unique carriage house. Wasnt large but had everything and was really comfortable for the size. In a less than 5 minute walk to the Old Town district its perfectly located. I would highly recommend staying here and I look for to our next visit to St. Augustine and plan to stay here again.
